Scandal-hit actor Ezra Miller, 29, has been accused of taking control of a teenage activist, plying her with alcohol, LSD and marijuana, forcing her to drop out of school and taking away her personal items.

Tokata Iron Eyes, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, met the Flash star when she was just 12 years old when the then 23-year-old Miller visited their reservation in North Dakota.

Tokata's parents claim they sparked up an unlikely friendship and Miller even flew her to London two years later to visit the Fantastic Beasts studio.

The parents claim in a lawsuit that the actor, who identifies as non-binary and queer, supplied their underage daughter with drugs and alcohol and disrupted her Massachusetts private schooling to such an extent that she dropped out of in December.

When they flew to Miller's home in Vermont in January to retrieve Tokata, they allegedly found bruises on her body and she no longer had a driving license, car keys or a bank card, TMZ reported. 

When the teenager was returned to her parents' home, she fled again to New York to reunite with Miller and they have since allegedly been traveling together to Vermont, Hawaii and Los Angeles. 

It is just the latest legal case involving Miller, who was arrested in Hawaii in April for allegedly throwing a chair at a woman's head after refusing to leave her home, weeks after another arrest for spitting in someone's face in a bar during a game of darts.

Tokata's father Chase Iron Eyes, a former Democratic House candidate for North Dakota, and his wife, said in their lawsuit: 'Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.'

The parents are asking the court to intervene and issue an order of protection against Miller on behalf of their daughter.

A hearing is set for next month.

Ezra is managing to cram an entire life's worth of Kevin Spacey/Weinstein behavior into ten or so years. Are they going for some sort of record? And why can't we do more to stop them now before they do more damage?

There's a whole load of data about law enforcement doing nothing about missing indigenous women so maybe that played a part. I notice that it's the parents taking action not law enforcement trying to recover a minor which surely they could have done before she turned 18?

That's just super sloppy reporting, if we'd been discussing multiple individuals whose pronouns were she/her the author would have used a last name for clarity:

Ugh...I just responded to both of you but my VPN kicked me out of GRT and ate my post.  Long story short...I agree with both of you.  The way the US and Canada handle indigenous missing people is fucked up.  And yes, it's lazy reporting that was not hard to correct.  It technically states that the parents are plying Tokata with drugs, etc.

Looks like Ezra Miller is possibly on the lam. Hopefully, he is just hiding out.  I didn't realize that even though she's 18, tribal law considers her parents her legal guardians.  Her insta vid is odd...very slow word salad.

The Los Angeles Times reported on Friday that the parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes were granted a protective order against actor Ezra Miller, but law enforcement has been unable to locate the actor. Miller has yet to be served the papers, which accuses them of “physically and emotionally abusing” the teen. The Times’s report also uses the term “grooming.”

Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle had their interim order of protection for their daughter approved by a judge from the Standing Rock Sioux tribal court in North Dakota last week. The parents accuse the Justice League and We Need To Talk About Kevin star of “psychologically manipulating, physically intimidating and endangering the safety and welfare of” their child, who has begun using the name Gibson and, like Miller, uses they/them pronouns.

The order would bar Miller from “contacting or harassing” the 18-year-old or their parents, and also would force them to stay 100 yards away from the family residence prior to a July 12 hearing. The court will grant the “relief requested” in the restraining order if Miller does not make an appearance at the hearing.

However, Miller’s current whereabouts are unknown. “They move around so much [that] we’re stuck in this legal limbo situation, and we can’t serve them in any place they’re in long enough,” Chase Iron Eyes, an attorney and activist, told the newspaper. “They’ve been flighty. They’ve been avoiding service, and now there’s public pressure mounting on them to make a decision, which makes us very concerned about Ezra’s volatile nature.”

While Tokata/Gibson, who is believed to be with Miller at this time, is 18, tribal regulations still consider the parents as legal guardians. The Times reported that the parents have made multiple previous attempts to serve documents in Vermont, where Miller has a residence, and in California. When making a wellness check in California this May, Sara Jumping Eagle alleged that Miller assaulted her. (She filed an incident report at the time.)

In an interview with People, Sara says she has only spoken with her daughter three times since February, and felt “monitored” or was “interrupted” by Miller. She added that Tokata/Gibson sounded “robotic” over the phone, and said, “our daughter's basically brainwashed.”

Miller and Iron Eyes first met when he was 23 and she was 12, at the Standing Rock Reservation during the 2016 political action to stop the Dakota pipeline. The court documents the family filed allege that Miller exhibited behavior in a “pattern of corrupting a minor,” that they “took an immediate and apparently innocent liking to Tokata Iron Eyes,” and displayed “cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior.”

The family also charges that Miller gave Tokata alcohol, marijuana, and LSD, and flew her to places like New York, California, London, Vermont, and Hawaii. In April, Miller was arrested twice in Hawaii for second-degree assault and for disorderly conduct.

On Thursday, Tokata/Gibson uploaded a video to Instagram, in which they said, after a lengthy build-up, “This is my life. These are my decisions. And I'm disappointed in my parents and the press in every way.”

Recent previous uploads made a jokey comment about being “on the loose,” and another referred to Ezra Miller as her “comrade” while calling her parents “manipulative” and her father’s allegations “transphobic.”

Warner Bros. is still scheduled to release The Flash, in which Miller plays the leading role, in June 2023. Filming ended in October 2021, but COVID-19 postponed its bow. At the Oscars earlier this year, Miller's Flash character “entering the Speed Force” in Zack Snyder's Justice League won the top “cheer-worthy moment” prize, beating out The Matrix, other superhero movies, and also Showgirls. Two reports suggest that this and another poll decided upon by fans were manipulated by bots.

12-Year-Old Granted Order of Protection Against Ezra Miller
The Daily Beast spoke with the alleged victim—a 12-year-old nonbinary child—their mother, and their neighbor, who all described the night “The Flash” star allegedly menaced them.


On Wednesday, a mother and her 12-year-old child traveled to their local courthouse in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and were granted a temporary harassment prevention order against Ezra Miller after alleging that the actor menaced their family one evening in their downstairs neighbor’s home and acted inappropriately toward the nonbinary youngster.

The news comes on the heels of a number of other disturbing allegations that have surfaced against the 29-year-old, best known for their turn as The Flash in Justice League. (Miller is also nonbinary).

Last week, the parents of 18-year-old environmental activist Tokata Iron Eyes requested that a court issue a protective order against Miller, stating in court documents that the actor met Tokata six years ago when they were 12 and Miller was 23, and that “Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata.”

The parents also accused Miller of influencing Tokata’s decision to come out as nonbinary transgender. (An unverified Instagram account presumed to belong to Tokata denied the claims.) The court has been unable to locate Miller to serve them the papers, and Miller deleted their Instagram Wednesday afternoon—but not before posting a series of memes mocking the authorities for their inability to find them.

Creator Mia Solange took to TikTok in April to accuse Miller of being a “#abuser,” while the actor was arrested twice in Hawaii for disorderly conduct, harassment, and allegedly throwing at chair at a woman. On top of all that, in 2020, a video went viral of Miller attacking a young female fan in Iceland, though local authorities declined to investigate the incident.

In the Massachusetts case, The Daily Beast reviewed a copy of the protection order signed by a judge and spoke with the 12-year-old accuser, their mother, and another neighbor who was present; the case docket has not been posted on the court’s online system, so the official complaint made by the child’s mother was not available.

The Daily Beast also reviewed contemporaneous text messages sent by the mother and the neighbor as well as photographs that corroborated parts of their accounts of the night in question. We are withholding names for privacy reasons.

On the evening of Feb. 2, the trio contend that Miller was present at the downstairs neighbor’s home in Greenfield, which is located about 40 miles from the actor’s ranch in Stamford, Vermont. That neighbor is in a band with Whitney Suters, a musician who is close friends with Miller.

“[Miller] was wearing a bulletproof vest—and I had no idea until later that they were armed,” recalls the visiting neighbor.

Tensions began brewing when the mother says she mentioned doing some traveling recently with “her tribe” of people, leading Miller to snap at her and accuse her of cultural appropriation. Then, a conversation about board games allegedly went sideways when, after Miller claimed that the board game Parcheesi had Rastafarian roots, the visiting neighbor—who is half-Black—questioned Miller as to which sect of the Rastafari movement it originated from.

“At this point, Ezra explodes and started screaming directly into my face,” the visiting neighbor tells me. “They said, ‘You don’t even know what the fuck you’re talking about. What did you say to me? What did you just say to me?!’” “I was very caught off-guard,” the visiting neighbor continues. “Then they opened up their jacket—they had this, like, big Sherpa jacket—and they opened up one side of their jacket, you could see a gun, and they said, ‘Talking like that could get you into a really serious situation.’”

Next, according to the visiting neighbor, the mother, and the child, Miller focused their attention on the then-11-year-old, saying, “I’ve talked extensively with your child, and they have a lot of power to them. At one point, you’re going to realize that you don’t have any control over them anymore. They’re an elevated being, and they would be lucky to have someone like me guide them.”

They say Miller proceeded to turn to the mother, who dresses Goth, and accused her of being a witch and a vampire, repeatedly yelling at her, “Do you want to drink my blood? Do you!?”

Miller then came back to the child and allegedly began pestering them with compliments—at one point moving their chair closer to them, uncomfortably hugging them and touching their hips, requesting that they add the actor on Instagram, and telling the child—who expressed their interest in horses—that they would acquire several horses and the child could help them care for the herd on their Vermont farm.

“They automatically were just weirdly drawn to me and kept talking about how they love my outfit and love my style, and kept going on and on about how it was great,” the child remembers. “It was really uncomfortable. I was really nervous. I was scared to be around them after he’d yelled at my mother and she was crying.”

The mother and visiting neighbor both believe that Miller may have been “under the influence” due to their dilated pupils and erratic behavior. Miller apologized for the outburst before returning to the home on June 4, dressed as a cowboy, without incident. Ever since the Tokata Iron Eyes news broke, however, they haven’t seen or heard from them since.

A representative for Miller could not immediately be reached for comment.
