Heidi Montag snacks on bison heart as part of her raw meat diet
Eat your heart out.
Heidi Montag is clearly not giving up her raw meat diet plan anytime soon, as she was photographed chowing down on yet another carnivorous treat on Wednesday.
Paparazzi caught “The Hills” alum, 35, carrying a plastic bag with a raw bison heart inside of it during a stroll in Los Angeles.
She was snapped flashing a big smile as she took a bite out of the bloody organ.
Anything for publicity!
It’s unclear where Montag was heading with her lunch meat, but she was dressed casually in a bright purple top, black-and-white sweater, black jeans and a backpack with her hair in a ponytail.
The bubbly reality star first revealed her peculiar eating regimen in January, when she filmed herself eating raw liver.
She called it “breakfast of champions,” and tagged Dr. Paul Saladino, whose Instagram page was used to promote the health benefits of eating raw meat.
However, Saladino shared on Twitter in September 2021 that his account had been disabled. One person commented, “They ban misinformation.”
Montag, meanwhile, shared yet another video of herself eating raw liver in February.
“There are so many health benefits to eating liver, animal organs, raw liver,” she claimed in the clip.
According to healthline.com, those who eat raw meat are at risk of “contracting a foodborne illness,” adding that bacteria and other potentially harmful pathogens are generally destroyed when the meat is properly cooked.
Heidi Montag reveals the reason behind her raw meat diet
She’s eating liver for life.
Extreme carnivore Heidi Montag has been eating raw meat in public not for attention but rather to address fertility issues that she has been having.
“I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and a half. I’m willing to try different things,” she told People Thursday. “It’s a great source of nutrients! I have felt incredible on this diet. A lot more energy, clarity, increased libido and overall improvement on chronic pain I have had.”
Montag, who did not clarify why she needs to carry Ziploc bags full of the goods out in public, also said she loves “trying new things” and is interested in “anthropology,” particularly “the way humans are meant to eat.”
“When you think about where the most nutrients are that are bioavailable to humans without toxins, organs are very nutritious parts of animals,” she explained. “Culturally organs are a critical part. Eating raw liver is going to preserve as many nutrients as possible.”
The “Hills” alum, 35, compared her diet — she’s been snapped eating raw liver, bison heart and bull testicles — to eating sushi.
“I just happen to like eating sushi-style organs,” she shared.
Montag and husband Spencer Pratt are already parents to 4-year-old son Gunner. The former “Laguna Beach” star underwent hysteroscopic polypectomy surgery in August 2021 to improve her chances of conceiving again.
“I’m hoping that this surgery works and that this is the only reason I haven’t been able to get pregnant,” she said in her YouTube livestream of the procedure. “Hopefully after this, I can get pregnant right away.”
She then turned to the raw meat diet in January, calling it the “breakfast of champions” and tagged Dr. Paul Saladino, whose Instagram page was used to promote the health benefits of eating raw meat.
