I made a very decadent lasagna with my Marcella Hazan bolognese sauce. Used 2 lbs of shredded mozzarella for the whole thing. 1/12 of the thing was enough to sit in my stomach like a delicious, satisfying brick of umami comfort food. It made Mr. B profess his love for me all over again.
I still got it, *smirk*

Lemon Bundt with lemon whipped cream. I would like one of these to go with my corned beef sandwich on marble rye. Bought the corned beef at Aldi and it's some of the best I've ever had. Went back for two more for the freezer. Also, I have a salad because I would eat a lot more corned beef.

I just made a tomato pie with some fresh tomatoes and basil from my friend who lives in the Redlands. It’s yummy.

Wait, rhubarb with no strawberry? In the States, I've only heard of rhubarb and strawberry together - mainly because rhubarb is so tart. I just made a tomato pie with some fresh tomatoes and basil from my friend who lives in the Redlands. It’s yummy. This is another one I'm hearing about for the first time.
I'm all by myself, so I had a turkey burger with tomato, cheddar, and sauteed onions on a very low-carb (but delicious) bun. By the way, I think Butterball turkey burgers taste AMAZING - and are HUGE. But the rest of my family claims they don't like the taste. It's infuriating to me because it's so much better healthwise.
Also, I had a salad with lettuce, baby spinach, spring onions, shredded carrots, tomato and fresh mushrooms. Our kids only eat salads because I lean on them. I always liked them, even as a kid.

notoriousmkg the creamy sweetness of the custard offsets the tartness of the rhubarb. Over here you are more likely to find rhubarb paired with apple than strawberry.

Tomato pie is delicious. It’s sliced tomatoes that you put in a colander to drain the excess water. They are layered in a pie shell with green onions and basil and topped with a mixture of cheddar, mozzarella cheese and Mayo. Bake until lightly browned and let it sit for 15 minutes. Delightful.

I made spaghetti squash for the very first time today and it was freaking delicious. After I made Easter Dinner of a ham, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, I decided to make the spaghetti squash that my friend gave me. I sautéed a bunch of chopped garlic with butter after I took out the squash from the oven and let it cool. I added the strands of squash and Parmesan cheese. It was a big hit with my brother and sil and myself. I will be making this again very soon.

leftover veggie stir fry from last night and a green salad with anchovy vinaigrette, which is my latest obsession. seriously, make it. it's the fucking bomb and super easy. the original recipe is for radicchio but i can't find any in lima so i just made it with plain romaine lettuce and you could do it with anything. it would also be amazing just drizzled over steamed veggies. i'm hooked.
Yield: 4 servings 2tablespoons lemon juice 1tablespoon Dijon mustard 2teaspoons chopped anchovy 1garlic clove, pounded to a paste 3tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil Salt and black pepper
