^^^I'd think that she's drinking quite alot as self medication. She kinda looks like it. That recent pink sweater chicken restaurant picture of Britney she had one of this little round booze beverages in her hand.

I went through a period of pretty heavy drinking a couple of years ago and oh boy did I dance... and it was so fun... and I was a mess. Totes better now, but man I see my old self in her twirling sometimes.

Britney Spears busted for driving without license, proof of insurance pagesix.com/2023/10/10/britney-spears-busted-for-driving-without-license-proof-of-insurance/Police pulled over Britney Spears last month and discovered that she was driving without a license, according to court records obtained by Page Six Tuesday. The California Highway Patrol found that the pop icon, 41, allegedly committed two infractions on Sept. 10 and has a balance of $1,140 due as a result. Per court records, Spears was issued a violation for not having a valid license in her possession and a second violation for failing to provide an officer with proof of insurance. However, her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, tells Page Six exclusively Tuesday, “Britney at all times had a license and insurance; this is the functional equivalent of a parking ticket.” A second insider also confirms that the “Piece of Me” singer “had and has insurance and a license.”

It would be a $1,140 parking ticket. Also, it would be interesting to know what they pulled her over for in the first place, since they wouldn't know she wasn't carrying a license and proof of insurance until they pulled her over.

You get fined for not having your licence on you? Over here I think you get seven days to present it at a police station as proof that you can legally drive and if you don't have a physical copy for some reason (such as you are waiting for it to come back from a medical renewal) the police can check with the DVLA.

This may be something that varies state to state but I thought you had at least 24 hours to prove you have a license. I’m not sure about the insurance…I think they’re more worried about that than the license usually.

Usually, you get fined for not having a license and/or registration. I got a fine for not being able to find my registration. I had not heard of having to provide proof of insurance, but it's California, and they are more strict about everything.

I'm still team conservatorship, because while sure Jamie was not the best person for it, we don't exactly know the details of the truth because remember Britney has never been a reliable narrator either. Without any supervision she is going to die a whole lot sooner. I would bet money she's self medicating with illicit drugs, and making a lot of other destructive decisions. There is a huge cost to her freedom, especially since she went from one extreme to the other. i don't disagree. by team conservatorship i meant the people who defend jamie as conservator and think he was somehow good for her.

in CA, you need to provide proof of insurance, license, and registration (the latter is a decal on your license plate). i think not having these is a 'fix-it' ticket, meaning that if you provide proof later, the fine gets dropped. at least, that's how it used to be.

I realize I am about to "cheese" this thread by being so obsessed about this, but not having your driver's license with you can be a pretty serious situation. Without it, a cop doesn't know if the car he pulled over is stolen or not, or who the occupants of the vehicle are if it's in accident and everyone is incapacitated. All kinds of ramifications. Maybe don't buy that pair of Daisy Dukes (and this goes for guys, too) if they are too short to fit your driver's license in.

They don't even need to do that now as they just check it against the computer while you stand there. Yes I got pulled over. I had my licence on me but they asked for that or ID so they could check I had a valid licence. They can also check MOT + insurance at the same time; on the spot. They're not saying that she didn't have a valid licence but that she didn't have a valid licence in her possession

I'm in New Jersey and cops can check insurance now by scanning your license plate...not sure if this is the case in CA.
"The police will know if you have a valid insurance policy by running your license plates through an electronic verification system accessed ..."

That sounds cool, but you still have the issue of not knowing who is in possession of the car without a driver's license in their possession.

What the hell Britt? You ALWAYS have your license, registration and proof of insurance on you or in the car when you drive in California (and Oregon). How did you not learn or know that?
