Cops called to Britney Spears’ home over concerning knives video

Police performed a wellness check on Britney Spears Wednesday after she posted worrisome videos of herself dancing with knives, Page Six can confirm.
Captain Dean Worthy of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office tells us Thursday that one of their sergeants — who has dealt with numerous incidents involving the Princess of Pop over the years — responded to the call.
“Somebody close to Britney had seen the video posted on social media, where she’s dancing and twirling with knives in her hands and they were really concerned for her mental well-being,” the public information officer says.
Worthy says police confirmed that the individual, who asked to remain anonymous, had a relationship with Spears and was not just a “fan.”
“We would normally not respond to fans calling in about a celebrity unless we actually believed that there is a credible threat,” the officer says. “However, we vetted this individual through LAPD … and we determined this is someone who knows Britney on a personal basis.”
Worthy also notes that the initial call was made through the Los Angeles Police Department’s Systemwide Mental Assessment Response Team (SMART) before being relayed to the sheriff’s office.
When police arrived at Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., they spoke to security that was at the house via an intercom. Security let them know that the “Toxic” singer was “fine” and “nothing was going on.”
“They didn’t want to let the officer in to see her physically,” Worthy adds.
After also speaking with Spears’ attorney, the officer says that his team felt that was “sufficient” confirmation for them to be reassured that the Grammy winner was doing OK and “not in any harm.”
“There’s no criminal activity so we’re not going to force ourselves inside the home if there is no crime,” Worthy says. “Being a danger to oneself isn’t a crime. I think we did our due diligence by going and responding and speaking to two people who are close with her who satisfactorily told us she’s fine.”
When asked whether officers were aware of a second video, which showed Spears dancing with a bandage on her arm and blood marks on her body, Worthy declined to comment and noted that he “hadn’t seen that video.”

Page Six has reached out to Spears’ reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.
However, a source tells us exclusively Thursday that the pop icon, 41, was simply being “intentionally provocative” by dancing with knives and paying homage to Shakira’s 2023 VMA performance.
“It was based on the Shakira performance,” the insider claims, offering up the same explanation Spears herself gave when people on social media were alarmed by her blade-carrying booty-shaking.

This is not flexing wings of freedom, this is continuing the same old behavior she has always exhibited, before during and now after conservatorship. No one is buying her bs any longer.

Is her eye liner tattooed on? It always looks like she was out partying all night and went to bed in heavy eye make up but now that I really look it almost seems like the eye liner is permanent and she just have deep dark circles under her eyes. Its possible, but I doubt it. Her eyeliner changes, not to say that you cant add to permanent makeup, but a smudged/blended permanent eyeliner is almost impossible to achieve. I personally have had permanent eyeliner since the early 2000's and it looks nothing like that, nor does any of my friends that have permanent make up. Just my 2 cents. I have my eyeliner microbladed as well, & it just looks like normal eyeliner. No smudginess at all. The only time I add eyeliner to it is when I wear full makeup with eyeshadow. I just go over the top line after I put my shadow on. I never do anything additional with the bottom eyeliner. |

Britney Spears’ estranged dad, Jamie Spears, is battling a serious health issue, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
“Jamie has been suffering with a bad infection that has required surgery,” a source tells us. “He has been hospitalized for weeks in a special infectious disease facility.”
While a second insider close to the family tells us that the 71-year-old is “severely ill,” People reported that he is now seeking outpatient treatment.
We’re also told that a new Daily Mail report claiming Jamie, an alcoholic, went to rehab over the summer is false.
His lawyer didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The news comes after TMZ reported in August that Jamie was initially hospitalized “several months ago” to deal with complications that arose from a knee replacement he underwent in the mid-2000s.
Sources told the outlet at the time that the Spears patriarch had “lost more than 25 pounds” and looked “extremely thin” while “in and out” of medical care.
Jamie has stayed under the radar since being ousted as Britney’s conservator in September 2021 following the pop star’s allegations that her dad had been “abusive” while in control of her personal, medical and financial decisions.
A Los Angeles judge terminated Britney’s 13-year conservatorship altogether less than two months later.
The father-daughter duo have been estranged ever since, with the Grammy winner telling Jamie to “burn in hell” in an October 2022 Instagram post.
“Britney is on a healing journey, but a reconciliation with Jamie is not in the cards,” a source told Page Six in August.
Jamie repeatedly denied wrongdoing during his time as conservator, arguing he had saved Britney’s life by placing her under the guardianship in February 2008 while she struggled with her mental health.
Sources recently told us that Britney, 41, is “not on good terms” with most of her family these days.
However, the “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer did have a brief reunion with her mother, Lynne Spears, in May and invited her brother, Bryan Spears, to stay at her house after her husband, Sam Asghari, filed for divorce in August.
Page Six reported last week that Britney’s forthcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me,” will include explosive “bombshells” about the “Crossroads” star‘s life.
“This book will be Britney unedited,” a friend teased to us, “and I think you will finish the book with a new perspective: ‘We gotta leave this girl alone.'”

if the conservatorship had been managed by sane people who had her interests at heart it would be one thing but her father has a lot to answer for and probably made her worse, and also less likely to trust doctors and people who actually do want the best for her, and much less likely to actually ask for help.
she might not have been twirling on instagram during the conservatorship but by all accounts she was miserable and her mental health wasn't better, it was just kept hidden and they probably had her zonked out on meds when they weren't trotting her out to dance like a trained monkey when they needed cash. which isn't the same as her actually being better off. though i get hte feeling some people are more bothered by the public aspect of her current state, more than by whether or not she was actually better when jamie had her under lock and key.

As her father lies struggling not to die in a hospital bed, Britney pays him tribute with another Trademark Twirl about a turd laden floor. ( Instagram Reels earlier today, cannot find it now) This time around, she set her dance to a Beyonce tune called " Daddy Lesson", making a gun motion with her bandaged bloody finger and hand and doing a salute during the following lyrics: "Came into this world Daddy's little girl And daddy made a soldier out of me (ooh-ooh) Daddy made me dance And daddy held my hand (ooh-ooh) And daddy liked his whiskey with his tea" She pretends to blow smoke from her finger gun at one point, which disturbingly highlights a darkened thumb, which is a sad tell tale sign of chronic drug abuse with a pipe. The caption mentions people stealing her songs to remix them behind her back, and meeting Jay Z to add a rap to this song when she remixes it.    |

Serious about what? I'm not making an assertion, I'm just saying it's difficult to know exactly what is going on in her day-to-day life (beyond what she chooses to release via Instagram or some other social media). I also don't think the audit of what her father has done with the money she has earned (during the time of the conservatorship) has been released yet. If a third-party auditor found that he absconded with millions of dollars of her money for his own benefit, that would definitely state something about his intentions. Also, did an abusive father result in her behaving this way, or is it just some organic thing where she would be like this no matter who raised her (like Amanda Bynes)? I admit that I'm not following this that closely. |

I'm still team conservatorship, because while sure Jamie was not the best person for it, we don't exactly know the details of the truth because remember Britney has never been a reliable narrator either.
Without any supervision she is going to die a whole lot sooner. I would bet money she's self medicating with illicit drugs, and making a lot of other destructive decisions. There is a huge cost to her freedom, especially since she went from one extreme to the other.
