Rant: Who the fuck is Sabrina Carpenter and why, no matter what I've listened to, does YouTube think I want her on my playlist? System of a Down? Suggests Sabrina Carpenter. Dusty Springfield and Cher? Would you like to listen to Sabrina Carpenter next? Fuck off! I am now sworn to never listen to her, so there! I feel the same way about Chapell Roan (sp?). And OMG does she seem full of herself based on her quotes.
Rant - last night, we got a Ninja food processor. It's like a whole system that comes with multiple things - blender, etc. Anyway, the blades came in protective packaging. Which I thought was kind of weird because I've never known blender blades to be particularly sharp. At least not RAZOR sharp. The protective cover for the blades actually snaps together, and while I was pulling it open I cut my finger tip - pretty much negating the whole point of having these stupid covers. For a 1/2 cm cut, I was bleeding a lot.
Mrs Mo bandaged me up and I am trying not to disturb the cut by using my patented 9-finger typing technique.
Has anyone had success with that glue that they sell at the stores now for closing cuts?
Those Ninja blades are sharp. I bought a Nutri Ninja years ago, and I still use regularly.
I've used the liquid bandage stuff. It stings when you apply it, but I found it works well on those kind of slice cuts.
Another thing I've started using are 3m's Nexcare waterproof bandages. The normal ones stay on about 12 hours and the maxhold for up to 48 hours. They really keep the wound clean and covered. I do use them on my hands and fingers, though not usually on the tips because it can be hard to get them to fit correctly there and gaps make the bandages a lot less effective. I love them though because I can wash my hands and even do the dishes while keeping a cut covered.

congrats on the apartment, lofty!
i moved to a new place at the beginning of this year and it was stressful but so worth it.
i recommend to make all the changes, updates and adaptations to the new pleace before moving there if you get the chance to avoid living among that mess.

sabrina carpenter's voice is annoying. chappel roan has a good voice but have not heard her do interviews so know nothing of her personality.
mo - the liquid bandage is GREAT. actually, super glue is good, too. just put a band aid on it after you put on the glue.
ok, i have a rant. it's so stupid i can't believe it.
i was dropping off my kid's friend (both she and my kid were in the back seat) at her home. we were parked at the curb and chatting. i looked in the side view mirror and no traffic so she opens the door (driver's side) to get out. i look again and see a car barreling down the street. i yell at the friend and she pulls her leg inside and mostly closes the door. tool driver hit my door as she tears by and her side view mirror hit my car is in pieces in the street. i thought she was gonna do a hit and run because she parked a block and a half away. i'm just thankful that Friend was able to pull her leg inside in time and was not hurt. she is a black belt in tae kwon do and her ninja reflexes saved her. my door just has a scrape on the side edge but her car has so many dings in the driver's side that i'm assuming they were pre-existing. Tool walks down the street yelling that the accident was my fault and that she didn't see me. i don't know how she can claim anything since she says she didn't see me. the adjuster believes me but it sounds like we will be assuming part of the liability because Tool isn't turning over her cam recording and we have no proof of fault. Tool was bragging at the accident she had it all recorded and would prove me at fault. i am annoyed. i am waiting to hear from the adjuster because there is NO WAY the accident caused all the dings in her car.

^^^OMG, czb! I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this horrible woman and the insurance, yada, yada- but DAMN - there was potential for a horrific outcome here that you and friend managed, together, to avoid. I would still be shaking - I'm almost shaking myself just imagining this car barreling towards you. Thank God it wasn't worse.

Yeah bog-standard super glue. Works a treat. Hold it together (or get MrsMo to do it) and stick it up.
When I started reading about the ninja I thought to myself that I hoped you were careful with that blade. I think that I did that too

Chapel Roan is almost as bad on the suggestions, but that could be because I've been hitting "hide from playlist" on every Sabrina Carpenter track that pops up, so now she's probably filling the gaps.

It's the record label, they pay to heavily promote them on playlists they have no business being on - I know it's DEFINITELY a thing on Spotify and I assume Youtube music will take the same money to do it. I do like Chapel Roan's music but I haven't paid attention to any of the press around her except for when she canceled some concerts for the VMA performance.
