I can't let go of the Blondie comparison. When the fuck did Debbie Harry wear "stompy" boots? I could not imagine it so I googled and found her wearing various thin heels, thigh high boots, sneakers, saddle shoes, regular boots, etc. but no combat-type boots. She may have worn them but that's not what she was known to wear. This person is a moron. vouch. why don't they just cite joey ramone and tom verlaine for completeness? #fail

I basically said, exactly...it's like they pulled random punk and other iconic people's names out of a bowl and just used them to describe absolutely nothing. This person talks about these inspirations like she never actually saw photos of them, just heard them described by someone equally as dumb.

This writer/reporter is probably a damn millenial who couldn't pick Blondie out of a line up with Cyndi Lauper, 80s Madonna and Stevie Nicks.

I watched Persuasion last night. It wasn't horrible. It wasn't good either. I knew going in what to expect.
The anachronism was funny at times... Anne going through her relationship memorabilia box and referencing the "mix tape" he made her... it was a stack of sheet music tied with a ribbon. Made me chuckle.
The youngest sister Mary was kind of funny too -- using all this current self-care speak to not have to deal with her children. It was ridiculous.

I have this super unpopular opinion that Shakespeare in Love is a good movie and I remember at the time people raking it over the coals because of ANACHRONISMS!!! (Virginia didn't exist!) And it was so silly because it's a comedy, not a documentary, and also Shakespeare himself used anachronisms so I don't automatically hate them. I didn't mind the mixtape/sheet music thing either. I think it was just the problem that I still didn't believe those two ever had any chemistry. Speaking of anachronisms, in a way, this tweet about Jen and Ben made me LOL because it's true. DlistedBy the way, did anyone else see that Kate Beckinsale movie? I know I saw it, but the only thing I remember about it was that I didn't really like it, but I can't remember exactly why.

I think I need to rewatch the movie because I know there was something I wasn't excited about, but it might just have been my mood that day. Nothing specific sticks out in my mind, so it's very possible.

Shakespeare In Love didn't suck, but it was definitely overrated.
And sorry, but there is no way that Goopy in this lead role deserved the Oscar over Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth.
They even gave the fucking costume design award to Shakespeare In Love over Elizabeth and I thought that was bullshit too.
I don't even think it deserved Best Picture.
I'm not saying this was a bad movie, but compared to the others out that year?

Push. An older movie with Chris Evans and one of the Fanning girls. It sucks.

The Grey Man The book was fairly boring & way too long Chris Evans is dressed like a psycho from the start.

Yikes. It's like Hitler and Paul Snider from Star 80 (Dorothy Stratton's husband who murdered her) had a baby.
