Hypocrisy alert: Ivanka may be pro-life NOW, but...Roe V Wade Shade IVANKA TRUMP HAD ABORTION IN HIGH SCHOOL... According To Manhattan Socialite Lauren Santo Domingo lauren santo domingo trashes ivanka trump high school abortion #1 SOURCE: MEGA By:Alexandra Stone Jun. 25 2022, Published 3:53 p.m. ET Throwing shade! Lauren Santo Domingo slammed Ivanka Trump in a scathing tweet accusing her of having had a high school abortion as protests continue following the Supreme Court's shocking decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The two socialites used to be close years ago and were frequently spotted out and about together in New York, but they no longer appear to be on friendly terms. "Ivanka Trump, you are noticeably quiet today," Santo Domingo tweeted on Saturday, June 25. "The high school friends who took you to get an abortion are not." Although she deleted the social media message, it was retweeted, screencapped and shared by hundreds of people before she was able to remove it. This comes two years after Trump claimed to be "unapologetically" pro-life in an interview with RealClearPolitics. "I respect all sides of a very personal and sensitive discussion," she told the outlet when asked about the controversial topic. "But I am also a mother of three children, and parenthood affected me in a profound way in terms of how I think about these things." Later, in the same interview, Donald Trump's daughter admitted to identifying as a "Trump-Republican", noting that while she believes a lot of political labels "are really limited in terms of what you call yourself," she added, "I don't reject that label at all." As Radar previously reported, tensions are still running high after the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v. Wade, striking down the landmark 1973 ruling that protected abortion as a Constitutional right. Protests and demonstrations broke out across the United States and have been increasingly interrupted with acts of violence or vandalism. On Friday night, June 24, a driver of a black truck barreled through a group of pro-choice demonstrators at a rally in Cedar Rapids. "The light was red and the truck got impatient for whatever reason and charged into the crowd," one of the victims told the local news station. "There was at least three people. I look over and see people trying to push the truck back and I just instantly got mad, ran over, tried to stop the truck ... He grabbed [and] ripped my sign, and push me down drove off and that was it."

I’m not surprised. Those pro life bitches are happily pro life once THEY have had the abortion that saved their lives. Many nurses and doctors practicing abortions said that most their pro life patients were convinced that THEIR abortion didn’t count and was legitimate. I wonder what will happen when they réalisé that their ‘don’t count, legit’ abortion is also outlawed
I also wanted to say, it feels good to be here with you all on that forum, with the shitshow that are social media now, it does feel like a safe space and I wanted to thank you all for being her ^^

Didn't the rich women used to go for a "D & C" (wink wink) I'm sure that will continue. We all know this won't affect anyone like Ivanka.

I know women who've had abortions. Some of the ones who I know are openly pro-choice. Others are completely silent. I do know one who is very vocally anti-choice but had an abortion when younger and is open about the fact that she did.
Given statistics along with the lack of birth control and proper sex education where I live, I have no doubt that there are many others who are publicly anti-choice but have in private actually had at least one. This used to shock me when I found out someone from an religious/evangelical or otherwise anti-choice family had an abortion. Until I entered the medical field. I don't know what those people are going to do now.
More of the prochoice women I know are women who have never had or needed an abortion. But know someone who did.
If they really cared about stopping abortions they'd start sterilizing men. Especially the ones who produce babies with women and they can't or won't support the child or mother. They would rather more women be at risk of dying than holding men accountable.

If you want to know the difference between a Democrat or Republican majority in Congress when you vote in the upcoming elections, see below: www.businessinsider.com/gop-would-overturn-filibuster-impose-abortion-ban-michael-steele-2022-6?utm_source=feedly&utm_medium=webfeeds&utm_source=reddit.comThe GOP would overturn the filibuster to impose a national abortion ban if it wins the midterms, ex-RNC chief suggests • Former RNC chief Michael Steele said the Republican Party would likely seek a national ban on abortion. • He said the party would likely suspend the filibuster to enact the ban if it retakes the Senate. • The SCOTUS ruling overturning Roe v. Wade removed the constitutional right to an abortion. Michael Steele, the former head of the Republican National Committee, slammed the GOP in its current form and suggested that it was prepared to push aside Senate rules and impose a national abortion ban if it retakes Congress in the November midterms. In a Monday interview with MSNBC, Steele was asked by host Katy Tur if the GOP would seek to enact further restrictions on abortion in the wake of last week's Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade, ending the constitutional right to an abortion. Tur asked: "Sen. Chris Murphy said that if Republicans are able to retake the House and Senate, they will pass a federal ban on abortion. Do believe that would happen." "Yes. Without hesitation. They will set the marker," Steele replied. "Because it's in their base's interest to do so," he said. "That's the difference politically between the two parties. Republicans will go, 'oh, yeah, the Constitution and the filibuster, all the tradition, the sanctity of the Senate.' They don't give a rat's patootie about that when it's the bottom line in politics and power." "So absolutely, a national ban on abortion will be one of the first pieces of legislation probably next to impeaching Joe Biden," he said, without providing evidence for his claim that the GOP would seek to impeach Biden. In the wake of the Supreme Court ruling, some Republican leaders signaled support for further restricting access to abortion by banning it nationally after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Under last Friday's ruling, states are left to decide whether abortion is permitted, and under what terms. Most Republican-leaning states have already enacted laws banning or significantly restricting access to abortion, or are poised to do so. If Republicans take back control of Congress in the 2022 midterms, as some analysts have predicted, they could in theory pass a ban by lifting the filibuster, a rule requiring bills to get at least 60 votes to pass — but it would likely face a White House veto. Some Democrats have called on the Democratic-controlled Congress to act and pass a law enshrining abortion rights. But such a move would likely be blocked in the Senate by Republicans using the filibuster rule, and Democrats lack the unanimous backing of their caucus required to temporarily lift the filibuster and push through a bill. Steele, who was the chairman of the RNC between 2009 and 2011, has been a frequent critic of the direction taken by the Republican Party under former President Donald Trump's leadership and influence. He has also said he opposed Roe v. Wade, and abortion access should be a question for states to decide.

When I was in high school, I was sure of my feelings about abortion - I thought it should be legal, but I would never have one. It seemed so clear. Then I went to college, and freshman year I took a class that was listed in the course catalogue as a study of women writers. It turned out to be a class in feminism (the professor told us that the first day). The first book we were assigned to read was 'In a Different Voice', which is a psychology book. That book changed my feelings about abortion from 'but I would never have one' to 'I would probably have one if I got pregnant now' (I was 18 or 19 at the time).
The reason it changed my mind was that the book contains case studies of pregnant women deciding on whether to have an abortion or not. The women ranged in age from teenagers to women in their thirties. They were different races and social classes, and all were struggling with different issues and pressures while trying to decide. Reading what those women were facing made me think about what I would be facing if I got pregnant while in college, and it wasn't the easy decision it seemed at 15 and 16. When I thought about what I would be facing, I realized everything that I would lose and how hard everything would become. I grew up in that, and I knew that school was my way out, so when I played what-if, I knew that an abortion was my most likely choice at that point in my life. I never had to make that choice, but that book made me think about it in a more realistic way.
Even knowing the decision was coming, the reality of it still felt like a knife to the heart. I have been alternating between intense anger and soul-crushing sadness over this. I won't be facing the question (a few more months without a period, and I'll officially be in menopause), but to see it being ripped away from others. It's just one more thing in a long list that makes me hate this country and to feel ashamed of being an American.

I have so many thoughts I can't even put into words right now. Maybe later.
But I have to say the twitter "We will adopt your baby" memes are cracking me up. When in doubt, I go for the truly tasteless.

When in doubt, I go for the truly tasteless. They forget to mention they will adopt a WHITE baby. Considering there are already 400K kids in the foster care system, they don't seem to be concerned about that.

^ Well, that's always been the most infuriating and hypocritical thing of course. Once those babies are born, they're on their own.
Seriously, for people (Republicans) who don't want the government to give any assistance to poor women and their babies, you'd think they'd be all for contraception and abortion. These are the ones who complain about others taking government handouts. Yet want to force them to give birth to babies they can't afford or don't want. I can't wrap my head around it.

Now the motherfucking scrotus blocked epa authority to enforce emissions limits to combat climate change: The Supreme Court curbed the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to broadly regulate carbon emissions from existing power plants, a major defeat for the Biden administration's attempts to slash emissions at a moment when scientists are sounding alarms about the accelerating pace of global warming.
In addition, the court cut back the agency's authority in general invoking the so-called "major questions" doctrine — a ruling that will impact the federal government's authority to regulate in other areas of climate policy, as well as regulation of the internet and worker safety.
The ruling was 6-3. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the opinion for the conservative majority, with the three liberal justices dissenting.
The decision is one of the most consequential cases for climate change and clean air in decades.and they want to make sure to block as many Louisiana votes as possible: WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Tuesday reinstated a Republican-drawn congressional map in Louisiana that a federal judge had said diluted the power of Black voters.
The court’s three liberal members dissented.
The Supreme Court’s brief order, which included no reasoning, blocked the judge’s ruling and granted a petition seeking review in the case. The justices will, the order said, hold the Louisiana case while the court decides a similar one from Alabama in its next term.
As a practical matter, the court’s order ensures that congressional elections in Louisiana this fall will proceed under a map fashioned by Republican lawmakers, delivering a setback to Democrats, who face tight races in their bid to retain control of Congress. these fascist pieces of shit must go, by any means necessary.

I'm going to keep saying it. Allowing Trump to get into office was the biggest own goal for apathetic voters who are feminists, environmentalists, pro-union, pro-choice supporters, Affordable Care Act supporters, privacy advocates, or Miranda rights supporters.
