MONDAY, MAY 16, 2022 Today's Blind Items - Death Watch The manuscript is written. It has a publisher. No one wants to actually see it in print though, until this permanent A list singer, solo and in a group passes away. They don't want her final days to be people asking questions about things she did 60 years ago with her significant other. It was bad enough all of the things they would do to young female fans on each stop of their tour, often taking the young girls with them for days on end until they finally dropped them off in a town hundreds of miles from their home, with no food or money and no way to even make a phone call. They certainly don't want to change the narrative of being a survivor when there are at least a half dozen accounts in the manuscript of young girls not even able to try and make that phone call, because they ended up dead. It was rarely an accident they ended up dead. They had just been put through so much that if they were allowed to go home, the attention would have been bright and jail would have been a possibility. I say a possibility because they knew no one really would care all that much about doing anything, but they didn't want to leave anything to chance. The manuscript has dozens of interviews with victims who have lived with what happened to them their whole lives. They will be heard. www.crazydaysandnights.net/2022/05/todays-blind-items-death-watch.html?m=1

oh the timing is right for Tina. She's 82 - 60 years ago she was 22. She married Ike at 21, I think. Divorced him around 37. Survivor narrative ... yuk.

Captain and Tennille? J/K The blind is talking about murdering people, not our ears.

Captain and Tennille? J/K The blind is talking about murdering people, not our ears. The Captain could have been a huge freak - I mean we haven't heard otherwise. Love *will* keep them together. Until the divorce anyway. done now

Yeah, but the implication is that she was an accomplice. Basically, they make whoever this is sound like Karla Homulka or something.

My first thought was Tina. The blind does imply a Karla Homolka situation (rather than a more Stockholm Syndrome-type thing) and I know I'd rather not discover that Tina was full of crap and a serial killer and rapist...ugh.

Was Tina ever in a group? I thought that Ike and Tina was a duo.
My first thought was Diana Ross, but only because of The Supremes and then being a successful solo artist. I don't know enough about her to know whether she's considered a survivor in the way Tina is.

I thought about Ronnie Spector too but she's already passed and it sounds like this singer is still alive.
Tina was definitely part of a group, although the focus was on Ike and Tina as a couple. From wikipedia "From 1960 to 1976, they performed live as the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, supported by Ike Turner's band the Kings of Rhythm and backing vocalists called the Ikettes."
60 years ago was 1962 ... right in line with the range they were performing as the Revue. Tina would have been 23 in 1962. Tina is still my best guess... the date ranges all line up.

Just because I flat out refuse to believe this to be Tina Turner, some other guesses:
- Cissy Houston (was in two groups, also having had all those losses in her life will count as survivor, no?) - Gloria Gaynor. Too easy? - Diana Ross maybe? Don't know about the survivor thing though.
Guess we'll eventually find out.

I'm gonna call CDAN Shimmy (remember that load of BS?) shenanigans on this. I think he/she, whatever CDAN is now, just made it up or exaggerated to make it sound extra shocking.
For example, it could be Tina/Ike or any abuser who's got a female star under his thumb and the woman went along with it because she couldn't leave but she couldn't stop him either. On account of the abuse. And the murders sound like they can't be proven or else they already would have been. That's the classic CDAN exaggeration speculation.

Yeah, even if Tina is meant here and was part of the tour, from everything we know she barely made it out of the marriage and the group herself.
Edit: Death watch? Nope, just nope.
