A few years ago, TX “leadership” threw a hissy fit because abortions and miscarriages are considered medical waste and disposed of as such, and tried to implement a law to force facilities to bury or cremate miscarriages and abortions. These people are unhinged.

I posted this in a different thread but looks like the US is getting it's own Shari'a Laws
"Concurring with the majority opinion, Chief Justice Tom Parker wrote: "Even before birth, all human beings have the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing his glory."

Guess people with the name Tom Parker are often assholes: the shady manager of Elvis and this delusional SOB.

These people are insane, they should be locked up in mental institutions, not making wide-reaching, idiotic decisions. 😡

Many Islamic countries will only allow (legal) abortion if the mother's life is at risk, while others will make also exceptions for conception through rape or incest, foetal abnormalities or if the mother's mental health is found to be in danger. So in actuality, some US states are actually more restrictive than Sharia Law, which allows for choosing the lesser of what it considers to be two evils to occur without punishment.

I meant that it was religious law over "law of the land" but yeah you are right. There are a lot of issues with some Islamic countries but also, they can have free health care & look after their poor (just as long as you're not female or gay).

And I'm still not over the fact that you are more likely to die in childbirth in the US than you are in Saudi Arabia.
