Gross old broke drunk who keeps abusing his ex through the courts and has to sue her for money so he can continue to live his junkie lifestyle. And with all this money the old drunk cannot even buy deodorant or shampoo. Looks like he can buy a bunch of booze and drugs though.

£50k?! Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck racked up a massive bill at an Indian restaurant in Birmingham, following the actor’s win against ex-wife Amber Heard in the high-profile defamation case. Depp has been in the UK performing concerts with musician Beck, even missing the final day of the trial for a show, when the jury announced the verdict on 1 June. The two recently announced they will be releasing a new album next month. On Sunday (5 June), the pair closed Varanasi restaurant to the public, as they were reportedly joined by 20 other friends to share a meal. According to TMZ, the eatery’s operations director Mohammed Hussain said Depp’s final bill was around £50,000 ($60,000) in total. In an Instagram post, the restaurant shared a few photos, along with a caption that read: “The most talked about person on the planet right now joined us for dinner last night! What an amazing and humble experience.” www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/johnny-depp-uk-tour-birmingham-restaurant-b2095413.html

^ One does not need to provide a source for an opinion.
My opinion: he's back to his old tricks after playing clean and sober with a clean wardrobe for the benefit of the television audience and jury.

How do you spend £50,000 at one Indian restaurant? Was that a down payment to buy the place???

How do you spend £50,000 at one Indian restaurant? Was that a down payment to buy the place??? Looking it up it seems to be a fairly upmarket fine Indian dining place with private dining facilities and capacity for 350+ guests over several floors and cocktail lounges. £50k sounds about right for covering the cost of closing the whole place to the public for the evening plus food for 20+ people. Still crazy money for us mere mortals though.

^ I bet he bought a lot of expensive wine and other alcoholic beverages too.
After all, this is a guy who supposedly spent $2m a month maintaining his lifestyle including:
$30,000 on wine $300,000 on staff, including 40 full-time employees $150,000 on security for himself and his family $200,000 for a private jet
So this is no real shock.

Still crazy money for us mere mortals though. I saw that the place looked upscale, but I didn't realize how big it was. I assumed he blew it mostly on booze, but a big chunk was probably devoted just to shut the place down. ^ I bet he bought a lot of expensive wine and other alcoholic beverages too. After all, this is a guy who supposedly spent $2m a month maintaining his lifestyle including: $30,000 on wine $300,000 on staff, including 40 full-time employees $150,000 on security for himself and his family $200,000 for a private jet So this is no real shock. I could keep myself drunk on fairly decent wine for $300/month. Why so many zeros??? I also don't understand how you pay $300,000/month on staff/employees and that's not including security. He could have his own small town police force for that money. The cost of the private jet is the most reasonable thing on that list. And maybe I'll give him the wine, but the rest of it is ridiculous. It's not like he's getting his hair, makeup, and nails done every day. (eta - I'm mostly being facetious. Excessive though it is, I know he has multiple homes and probably has chefs and gardeners and maintenance people and who knows what else.)

I have to admit I've never seen an á la carte menu at an Indian restaurant but I did note that they had a cocktail named after you "THE FIERY RED HEAD Johnnie Walker Red, Ginger Beer, Chilli Syrup, Sugar Syrup, Fresh Ginger and Fresh Lime"

I would say that my first thoughts, when I saw the pic and read the i article, were identical to what dilligaf said. Also, it certainly didn't take him long to revert back to type! He's got no intention of ever cleaning up, growing up or taking responsibility for the mess his life is! Who's he gonna blame for his next trip to the gutter? His history of trashing hotels etc., aggression and physical violence which are extensively recorded, all suggest strongly that he's never done much in the way of self-reflection and doesn't appear to take any personal responsibility, whatsoever, as previous court cases have proven! What a pathetic and self-destructive way to enter your 60th year!

He looks like the last drunk being tossed out of the bar by bouncers after closing time. Big old fucking sloppy mess, and the older he gets the more pathetic it looks.

The Johnny crazies on twitter say he was just being led through the crowds of fans. He does look trashed.

I doubt there is coffee or tea in that mug. Unless it's an Irish coffee.
