Terrible result. Just terrible. For abuse victims generally and in this particular situation not to mention in relation to freedom of speech. While I agree she isn't the perfect victim and she might well have been abusive as well as toxic - Johnny Depp has dragged her to court 2x and forum shopped to continue abusing her. I wonder if he is satisfied now and how long it will be until he abuses or is violent toward another person. I think Johnny could hit her in front of a crowd and it would be totally her fault. They both suck, he sucks a bit more in my opinion. I read he assaulted a crew member and that case begins in 2 months. |

I don't think this verdict, at all, effects REAL victims of abuse. Amber was/is full of shit and the evidence proved that. They had a horrible relationship and I am not one to have ever sided with Johnny Depp on anything because I have never liked the guy, but she concocted this abuse story. She lied numerous times on the stand, her pictures were proven to be doctored and listening to that cunt on those recordings made me want to punch her in the face. Saying Depp hit her in the face with his fist full of rings and takes a picture... of a bruise on her arm and her face looks fine. Going to get the retraining order with a painted on bruise, calling TMZ and then laughing it up bruise free the next day. Adding the sexual abuse allegation on top of it. And, using the #Metoo movement. GTFO. She's the reason victims are some times not believed. She's the one that has a history of abusing people. Depp is most certainly not a saint, but where is his history of abusing anyone, other than himself? She is without doubt a psychopath. I sort of believed the bitch on the way into the courtroom, after watching the entire court case...ahhhhhh, hell no! I've never abused anyone in my life, but had she done to me all the things she did to him, I'd probably be in jail. Here is an exchange between Depp and Paul Bettany in 2013 before Depp even married Heard: ----------------------- One message, sent in 2013, made lewd reference to Heard’s “beaver”, and discussed her murder by “burning” or “drowning”. “I’m not sure we should burn Amber,” wrote Bettany. “She is delightful company and pleasing on the eye. We could of course do the English course of action and perform a drowning test. Thoughts? You have a swimming pool.” Depp replied: “Let’s drown her before we burn her!!! I thought the delivery of her testimony made her less believable, which is unfortunate for her and those that follow. He's a shitshow at best. |

Really, the verdict makes no sense. The jury said "yes" to every one of Depp's counts, including malice. That would mean they didn't believe Amber's claims of abuse, because truth is a defense in a defamation case.
Then, they turn around and agree on one of the three counts in Amber's case, saying she was defamed when Depp's attorney spread it on the internet that her claims of abuse were a "hoax". How could he have defamed her if the jury also didn't believe her claims of abuse?
I said a long time ago that she never should have published that op-ed, because she was poking the bear. It just gave him the excuse he needed to sue her. I know her name was on it, but really the ACLU were the ghostwriters, and their attorneys cleared it. Just dumb all around.
I've been reading that she might appeal. I don't blame her but does she have the money for that?

This is the stupidest most pointless "trial" on the planet. It's a big circle jerk with JD as the ringleader.
We've been talking about this dude for years. Is there anyone who ever thought from day one that this stupid relationship was going to end well? Did we not ALL side eye this relationship from the get go?
I'm really kind of weirded out by the reactions on social media. In my mind, there are no "winners" here. But you'd think JD accomplished something special here. I guess he did, since this (having people slobbering all over him and hating on her...the perceived root of ALL his problems) is the ultimate narc validation. The bad thing about this is now he'll probably be even less inclined to take responsibility for his issues. He can just blame it all on the crazy bitch. Or maybe the next one he hooks up with when shit in his life goes south.
I never liked Amber, but there is something very yucky going on here. I do not speak of this on social media because I'd be perceived as being "Pro-Amber" or some other such stupid shit.
The only thing I want to know about any of this is WTF happened to Pistol and Boo? I remember feeling sorry for these pups during the craziness that was this relationship.

According to The Guardian, Amber got custody of Pistol and Boo and a horse named Arrow, but I don't know what happened to them after that. She also has another dog she named after the deputy PM of Australia who made Amber and Johnny apologize for bringing them into the country illegally.

I'm really Glad that Johnny Depp Won. Truth has prevailed and Justice has been served. He can now be free, moves on, completely heal and be happy.
Regarding sociopath Amber Heard, karma is a bitch and what goes around, comes around. She doesn't represent women or real abuse victims. She represents the worst of women.
