I finally got to watch Scream (2022) last night. I loved seeing the nods and Easter eggs to the original, but I didn't care for the ultimate reveal of the killers. Kind of fell flat for me there.
My husband didn't get any of it and was complaining it was too meta but that's because he doesn't appreciate the entire meta-ness of the whole series.

Morbius. It sucked. Big time. But Jared Leto’s hot so, you know, I liked that XD

Just finished Colette. Amazing costumes (the split skirt! THE SLIP SKIRT !!!) and Keira Knightley is always flawless in a period piece, but tje film was very bland. A bit boring and academic, which is a shame, because Colette is freakin awesome. Well, was.

Saw Everything Everywhere All at Once today. It was really good. It is also weird, but in the best way. I love Michelle Yeoh.

Kimi, a thriller. It was entertaining and fast-paced, so I don’t get all the bad reviews.

Marriage Story. I didn't really like it. Lots of yelling, screaming and crying. Even though it was critically acclaimed.
I watched this because apparently this was based on Noah Baumbach's divorce, who apparently cheated on Jennifer Jason Leigh with his current spouse. How come this never made the rounds on Gossip Rocks? I am a gossip fiend even back then. How come I had never come across this until just now? And I'm a Jennifer Jason Leigh fan. Apparently she had to give birth alone because Noah was too busy gallivanting with his mistress at the time, Gretta Gerwig. Does anybody else remember this. Do you remember anymore details?

I watched 'Annihilation' (2018) Alex Garland, director: www.imdb.com/title/tt2798920/Felt much like his earlier 'Ex Machina". I thought the cast was really excellent. Also, watched 'Vegas In Space': www.imdb.com/title/tt0103192/While I understand it's cult status, I was bored after about 40 minutes and couldn't finish it(much had to do with most shots being closeups/medium shots, few establishing, except for some planet/space shots which were funny; ie a landscape of perfume bottles and lipsticks on the Planet Clitoris, lol).
Even though the intention was to make camp (according to director Philip Ford), it isn't clever enough. Was expecting another 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' (ya, Wood didn't intend for that to be camp but here we are, lol) I get that they had a very limited budget but seriously, one can still focus for free, lol. I've made plenty of student 16mm productions and managed to keep things sharp. Also, feels late 70s to me but was not released until 1991. Apparently it was filmed in 1982-85, or something. They couldn't get money together for final cut and distribution, hence the late debut.

The Snowman, thriller with Michael Fassbender and the opposite of thrilling. Boring, disjointed, stupid, made no sense. And everyone sounded like they were dubbed with sort of a fake Norwegian-British accent. Total waste of time, and of talent.

I agree with you, I thought it was pretty boring.

Did they ever explain the puppy in fassbender’s apartment? He acted like he was surprised the pup was there so it seemed pup wasn’t his and maybe the mold removal guy brought him?

I watched “Beautiful Boy” last night. Man it was so depressing, but in my experience (not me, but someone I love), it was pretty damn accurate. Steve Carrell was fantastic in it as the distraught father.

Did myself a double feature last night & watched “Stand By Me” & “21”
There’s really not any current movies that have garnered my interest, so I’ve been watching older/old movies.
