Me and Mr Fawlty watched the movie 'Perfect Days' earlier. It's a Wim Wenders movie about a Japanese toilet cleaner played adorably and with great humility by Koji Yakusho and follows his life for several days. It's truly uplifting. It touches on the sadness, the happiness, the beauty and simplicity of life. As the film says 'Now is now'. And......there's some great music! It reminds me of a book I once read 'Diary Of A Nobody' which was similar in the way you developed a deep fondness and empathy towards a very humble and empathetic human being.

Horsemen (2009) starring Dennis Quaid and Zhang Ziyi.
Total wank. I don't know what is was trying to be, but it failed miserably. The deductive leaps made by Quaid's character could clear the Grand Canyon, the story is disjointed and (highlight for spoiler text in case anyone can be bothered to sit through this tedious mess) Zhang Ziyi plays her character as a someone trying to parody a crazy person who is parodying a crazy person and failing. A total waste of 90 minutes.

"Dune Part 2 - the Electric Boogaloo"
We saw this in "screenx" which uses additional projectors that actual use the sides of the movie theater for panoramic scenes -- especially for all the outdoor desert scenes. It was a great effect, but it does bring the general light level of the theater up from VERY dark, to "someone turned the lights down a bit".
It turns out - and I didn't know this until the credits rolled - that this is Part 2 in a three-part series. So, don't go in there expecting that this story will be wrapped up in 2.75 hours - it's not gonna' happen!
Okay, so there are no flashbacks to catch you up. Make sure you refresh yourself on what happened at the end of Part 1. For example, I thought Gurney (sp? Josh Brolin) had died in Part 1. He most decidedly did NOT! He is a big part of Part 2 and his grizzled countenance is constantly pontificating about the serious doodoo that all the good guys are in.
The players:
Chani (Zendaya Coleman) looks as hot and pissed off as ever - ESPECIALLY during the cliffhanger scene.
Timothee Chalamet's wind-blown tresses has never looked better. It also makes him easier to spot in group shots with lots of action going on.
Christopher Walken is the cranky Emperor! I would say evil, but it's more like an Emperor that just wants you to get off his lawn.
Florence Pugh is his daughter, the princess. She's gorgeous, as usual. She's not a bad princess either. She's more like Princess Mindy in the "Spongebob Movie", who doesn't understand why here dad King Triton has to be such a hardass.
Austin Butler is Feyd Rautha Harkonnen. Basically, the really evil expert fighter for the bad guys. Butler is unrecognizable because he is bald and has a prosthetic browline right out of the Geiko caveman commercials.
Javier Bardem is heartwarming as Stilgar, one of the leaders of the Fremen. However, this time around, with his accent and whimsical attitude, he seems more like Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof".
Rebecca Ferguson looks more like Jellyroll's mom than Timothee's thanks to some creative skin art. She's great, though.
It's a great movie if you are into science fiction. Very compelling. The music score is really dark and the bass lines they were blasting out went right through my ribcage -- so you were VIVIDLY feeling the sense of foreboding as giant worms start to appear on the horizon.
