 Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have announced the birth of their first child through surrogacy. The couple were married in India in December 2018 in a two-day event that included Christian and Hindu ceremonies. Revealing the news on Instagram, the 39-year-old Indian actress and 29-year-old singer wrote: "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. Thank you so much." The message was captioned with a heart. A slew of celebrities congratulated the pair on social media, including singers Joe and Kevin Jonas, who are now uncles, as well as actresses Awkwafina, Eiza Gonzalez and Karen Gillian. Actor Kal Penn commented: "Kalpen uncle is ready to babysit!" The former Miss World recently talked about starting a family with Jonas. Speaking to Vanity Fair for its February 2022 issue, she said: "They're a big part of our desire for the future. "By God's grace, when it happens, it happens." Asked if she and her husband would have to slow down when they become parents, she said: "I'm OK with that. My first thought was pretty much like daphodil's. Like, no one knew you had a surrogate incubating and you're not exactly paparazzi stalk-worthy, so sure we'll give you your "privacy". K thx bye. Next up, they'll be posting tons of pics of the new bebe.

I don't find any of the Jonas Bros attractive, but Nick was a judge on the Voice, and I found myself liking him. That said, those two never seemed to make sense, but what do I know?

I watched their Amazon doc and honestly found them each to be quite likable.
There was talk that they were splitting recently so I suspect they made this public to shut people up on that front.

I would think all of this is no big news, except, someone posted a bit more about her in a fashion thread. I wasn't aware of her extensive bollywood/miss universe history. So maybe she's more interesting to people in other countries so that's why they act as though they are so important.
And as someone waa infertile until 43, I am nosy about the surrogate stuff even though it's none of my business.

The Daily Fail quoted sources who said jonchop didn't have time for family planning because of their busy schedules, so they decided to use a surrogate.

i can't stand her and i don't give a shit about him BUT for some reason i do think they went the surrogate route because of fertility issues. it's been almost 4 years since they got married, and given her age i thought they'd pop a kid out right away but they didn't, and there seem to have been times when she put on a bit of weight which, sure, could have been just regular weight gain but given the regimented workout and food routines i'm sure most celebrity women have, i wouldn't be surprised if it was due to fertility treatments and/or possibly pregnancy/ies that ended in miscarriage.
