PRIYANKA CHOPRA and Nick Jonas have finally shown off their bundle of joy.
Baby Malti Marie, 1, made her public debut at the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 30, where dad Nick and his brothers Joe and Kevin were honoured with an iconic star for their musical contributions as the Jonas Brothers. Previously, the pair had chosen to cover Malti’s face with emojis in images shared to social media.
Chopra held onto the tiny tot during the ceremony, who wore an adorable tweed tan outfit with a white white headband. She later shared a behind-the-scenes video from the milestone event to Instagram, which saw Nick take to the podium and express gratitude for Chopra. He endearingly called her “the calm in the crazy, the rock in the storm.”
“I love being married to you. It is the greatest gift,” he said, before joking, “and I love being a parent with you. So Malti Marie, I can’t wait to come back here with you in fifteen years and embarrass you in front of your friends.”
Also present at the ceremony included Joe and Kevin’s wives, Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas.

Previously, Chopra and Nick had chosen to cover Malti’s face with emojis in images shared to social media. During a British Vogue cover story, the Quantico actor opened up about how protective she felt over her daughter’s privacy.
“I’ve developed a tough hide when people talk about me. But it’s so painful when they talk about my daughter. I’m like, ‘Keep her out of it.’ I know what it felt like to hold her little hands when they were trying to find her veins. So no, she’s not going to be gossip,” she said. “I’ve been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter. Because it’s not about my life only. It’s hers too.”
During the same interview, she also revealed concerns that little Malti wouldn’t “make it,” having been born via surrogate “extremely early” in January 2022 — at just six months.
“I was in the [operating room] when she came out,” the 40-year-old recalled. “She was so small, smaller than my hand.”
The actor commended NICU nurses for doing “God’s work” to look after their “precious gift.”
“I saw what the intensive-care nurses do. They do God’s work. Nick and I were both standing there as they intubated her. I don’t know how they even found what they needed [in her tiny body] to intubate her.”
Chopra continued: “We spent every single day with her on my chest, on my husband’s chest. I didn’t know if she would make it or not.”
She also explained why turned to a surrogate to help expand her family.

“I had medical complications, [so] this was a necessary step, and I’m so grateful I was in a position where I could do this,” she said. “Our surrogate was so generous, kind, lovely and funny, and she took care of this precious gift for us for six months.”Since her first baby photo reveal on May 9, Chopra has begun sharing a few more pictures of her firstborn to Instagram, including Malti’s first Diwali — while covering her face. Nick Jonas has also opened up about the joys of fatherhood in various interviews, calling it “life-changing” to Entertainment Tonight.
“It is certainly life-changing… [Malti] is amazing. It brings me a lot of joy.”
Despite a challenging first six months, Jonas also revealed now “all is good.”
Previously, Jonas chatted on the Kelly Clarkson Show about the “wild” journey he went on with Chopra to have their baby girl named after the Indian word for “fragrant flower” or “moonlight”). Back on January 22, the couple announced the birth of their first child via surrogacy during a joint Instagram post.

“She’s the best,” the 29-year-old said of his baby daughter to Clarkson. “It’s just been a magical season in our life. Also pretty wild, but it’s a blessing to have her home. It’s been wonderful.”
On Mother’s Day, the Jonas Brothers member and Chopra revealed to their respective social media accounts that Malti had spent 100 days in the newborn intensive care unit. Chopra called it an emotional “rollercoaster.”
“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced,” Chopra began during a joint statement.
“After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home.”
The pair then acknowledged that while “every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith,” theirs was particularly “challenging.” However, they’re “overjoyed” and grateful by the level of care — which medical professionals at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, hospitals provided.

“What becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way.”
Chopra and Jonas concluded their respective posts with an affectionate tribute to one another. The 39-year-old actress wrote: “there is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama @nickjonas I love you.” Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers singer said Chopra “inspire
” him in “every way.”
“Babe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to be on this journey with you. You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.”
The couple first started dating in 2016 and tied the knot two years later in two wedding ceremonies held in the Indian city of Jodhpur.
