i feel bad for his wife and daughters. as for the rest, the kid and the baby momma will be fine. growing up with a single mother isn't some massive human tragedy, especially not with a rich sperm donor and the resources that brings. it's not like she didn't have options. if she didn't want her kid to grow up without a father she could have gotten an abortion.
i read somewhere that this first started when the chick was 19 and grohl was 44, so 10-11 years ago? but i think it's all speculation and rumours at this point so who knows.

Yeah she and the kid will be fine. And she'll definitely have resources that most women won't.
Obviously the retaining of a lawyer was a preemptive move since he knew this was coming out and wanted to be prepared for anything.
But the statement he put out saying he loves his wife and is doing everything he can to regain hers and his kids' trust and forgiveness doesn't sound like he's wanting to leave the wife and existing kids to raise a baby with his partner in cheating.
The wife should take control of this situation and leave him, IMO. This is a deal-breaker. And the mistress is dumb if she thinks she won't be in exactly the same position should she end up with him by default or by him 'choosing' her.

^^^^ that's how i read it too. it sounds like he wants to stay married and also not sound like a total asshole and say he'll support the baby momma and be in the baby's life. which is also the cheaper option, versus a divorce.
i know nothing about grohl's marriage. for all we know his wife is used to him stepping out and the issue now is that it's public and there's a baby and their kids had to find out about it. maybe i'm cynical but i always assume there's a lot of turning a blind eye going on in long-term marriages with rich and famous men

I'm sure. But usually the arrangement is you can do what you what as long you're discreet and don't embarrass me/us.
Oops.
I could never be married to a famous entertainer or athlete. Not even for the money,
Then again, I would never be married again at this point in my life anyway.

Dave Grohl was branded ‘crazy’ by his wife Jordyn Blum after he accused her of having a ‘flirty’ relationship with her tennis coach in a series of furious rows – before confessing to his own infidelity. But in the months leading up to the shock announcement, a ‘jealous’ Grohl had been grilling Blum, 45, on her relationship with her ‘hot’ coach, Christopher Crabb, 54, in what insiders claim was an attempt to detract from his own indiscretions. ‘Dave Grohl has been jealous for ages about Jordyn’s hot tennis coach,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘They’ve had arguments about him, and Dave thinks they’ve flirted. Jordyn has told him he’s crazy to even think that. But Dave has persisted.’ Blum has been training with Crabb for years, sometimes having up to three sessions a week at his $1.4million Tarzana property where he coaches celebrity clientele from Pete Wentz to Hillary Duff and Zach Braff, on his bright blue court. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13848155/dave-grohl-wife-jordyn-blum-christopher-crabb-flirting-tennis-baby.html

Apparently, there’s an adult film star that may have been involved with him for years. I guess her roommate is selling the story.

I apologise for hijacking the thread- I'm currently reading Moon Zappa's autobiography and it is astonishing how absolutely awful her parents were! Frank was an almost 100% absentee father who would fu.kk anyone with a pulse, often on the other side of the wall from his daughter! 'Delivered' a non-stop supply of STDs home to his wife, found it acceptable to greet female visitors, to their home, by twiddling their nipples! Gail was a negligent, nasty, emotionally abusive mother whose financial abuse even continued after death. Otherwise a really funny, moving, uplifting account of a life which was full of ups and downs but also healing. As a massive fan of Zappa during my younger years, this book has put me right off listening to his music. If Dave Grohl's behaviour is even a tiny bit like Frank Zappa's, his family need to get the Hell out of Dodge, for the sake of their mental/physical/social health and wellbeing.

Oh dear. I had no idea Zappa was a shit, always thought he was very cool. I was the same- thought he was the coolest man on the planet! He was either on tour or practising/rehearsing in the basement- totally disconnected from his kids, leaving them completely at the mercy of their dysfunctional mother. She is such a natural, warm and inspirational writer that she draws you in and keeps you there as she makes her way towards the light at the end of her very dark tunnel! I couldn't put the book down! Earth To Moon by Moon Zappa.
