I have so freaking many, it's embarrassing. Family Ties theme song - not only is it a great song, but the show kind of reminds me of my own family (hippie-like, hyper-affectionate parents).

I have a lot. In the '90s I had a set of CDs called TeeVee Toons, they had all the great ones. Here's one I like a lot

I used to be able to play the MASH theme on the piano.... sniffle, sniffle
Munster's theme was great. By the way Fred Gwynne (Herman Munster was a Harvard graduate and Harvard Lampoon president)
I never even KNEW there was a Gummi Bears show! I thought it was just a candy, LOL.
This tv show theme is for "St Elsewhere" (which is a common nickname for a hospital that administrators in the US will shuttle a patient off to that nobody wants or is indigent). It still gives me chills. A classic ensemble show that launched (or continued) the careers. In the opening credits here, you can see a young (with tons of hair!) Howie Mandel, Denzel Washington (28 at the time), and Bruce Greenwood. Also, on this show for multiple seasons were Mark Harmon, Ronnie Cox, William Daniels, Ed Begley Jr., Aflre Woodard, and Jane freaking Wyatt!!!

I never watched St. Elsewhere, but speaking of medical shows, I really like the theme from ER.

I can appreciate it now, but as a kid, I knew it was bedtime when I heard it.😡

IDK if this counts, since it was a song first, then used as a theme song, but The Who's "Who Are You" for CSI. I watched a few episodes out of boredom. The acting was crap & I couldn't get past them solving a whole case in a day. Give me my ID shows, please!

Every new CSI show used a Who song as its theme. CSI - "Who are You" CSI Miami - "Won't Get Fooled Again" CSI NY - "Baba O'Riley" CSI Cyber - "I Can See for Miles" CSI New Orleans uses somebody different, though Another favorite - "Cheers" theme. I love how it starts with a wistful piano melody talking about the person's daily travails. Then, comes to a huge chorus crescendo. It really goes great with the idea of a put upon account like Norm, surviving another day, and he comes through the door of the bar, and everybody is shouting "Norm!!!!"

I think I knew that at one time, but forgot about it. I'm sure you're right that The Who probably made more money off CSI residuals than they did off their concert tours. Cheers! Yes, great theme song, great show! I also like the theme music for Law & Order. I used to watch that show all the time back in the 90s.

Two more: Sopranos & Charmed. Like Holly said, not sure if they count because they were songs before they were theme songs, but damn do they slap
