feel better soon! how are you feeling? was it milder this time round than the first?
my lunch is cold steamed broccoli and mini asparagus with some cabbage and carrot kraut and a little bit of kimchi mixed in, and topped with some pan seared marinated tofu and cashews.

Thanks both of you. This is nothing compared to being sick this last year with the months long stomach thing, but I feel like I have a constant hangover from the meds and one of the side effects is a bitter taste in your mouth which is totally gross, too. Bleh.

egg bites from starbucks. I practically lived on those at my last two jobs. Starbucks was often the only thing open and since the egg bites were not that carby, they served as a staple for any of the 3 meals, snacks, dessert… I had mushy Thai noodles with the tiniest scallops I’ve ever seen for lunch. It was kind of disappointing…

^Yeah, I tested positive yesterday and I'm going to have a telehealth call tomorrow with a doctor. I thought it was a sinus infection, but when it wouldn't go away after antibiotics, I took a second test and I have the symptoms for the Omicron variant that's going around now. I think this is the second time - the first time was before there were tests/vaccines. Are you feeling better?

I usually don’t get hot by side effects but I think I had every one they mentioned on the paxlovid. The Covid was pretty mild but it still wore me out and I was over the coughing by the time it was over.

^^^ i think that's pretty common. when i got covid again in september some friends told me i should get my doctor to prescribe paxlovid and that a lot of them will do it even if you're not high risk so i called my doctor and asked and he actually advised me against it because of the side effects and risk of rebound, said he didn't really recommend it to patients unless they're old, immunocompromised or diabetic.
