My impression of Christina Aguilera was that she had the same meteoric rise as Spears (much better singer, much worse dancer) with almost none of the drama. I heard she had claimed she had an abusive dad ( link), too. She has settled into her current curvy body and doesn't seem to be blaming anyone else for it. |

I feel like you can't even compare Christina and Britney's voices. Christina is talented, I think she has a 4 octave range. Britney is pretty and can dance well and is a passable singer with auto-tune.

I was sort of shocked that even her fans ripped on her for that fat-phobic comment about Christina's dancers. I even pulled up some youtube videos of her Vegas shows and the dancers looked normal, not tiny. She's just spiraling and hyper-focusing on her insecurities.
I think Greys was right. She's not gonna make it for very long. I feel for those two kids.

Britney always had the option to have 0 back up dancers. I mean, I can think of probably at least 100 female artists that can sing songs by themselves and some of them even play instruments! I know it's not that kind of music, but still. I wonder if Britney could have chosen her own nannies, and how many dancers were with her on stage, and how fat they all were, if she believes she would be able to sing like Christina, too. That aside, this is reminding me of when Amanda Bynes kept calling everyone ugly. She’s certainly impressed with herself. 🙄 These photos are so tacky, I don’t care how fit she is. Praying her parents burn in hell? She needs help. And she needs to get off SM. All she’s doing is showing why a conservatorship was necessary, & looks like it still is. Girl is off her rocker.Yeah, it was so horrible how they saved her from herself, kept her from blowing all her money on the undesirable people she was hanging with (Lutfi, Adnan) got her a Vegas residency which paid her MILLIONS, got her visitation with her sons (which Kevin didn't have to agree with after her rights were stripped) and kept her stupid ass off social media, where she is now proving she hasn't changed in the least. Sorry, but I will believe she was abused when there's something other than her narcissistic complaints (skinny backup dancers made me look fat, torture! wouldn't let me change a dance move! I hated those pictures of me that they released!) She's just showing her ass in more ways than one. |

^^^ i dunno. it's possible that they did save her from herself but also did not let her make any decisions, even small ones. this is all so messy it's hard to say. but i would guess that they did the right thing in keeping her off SM and that may be one of the 'freedoms' she is now pissed that she did not previously have access to.

Well, time will tell if she goes totally off the rails, but she hasn't exactly made an auspicious debut into the land of the free. I just don't see this ending well and I don't trust her husband either.

A good and healthy guardianship should seek to involve and empower the person affected as much as possible. The way her father did it was fucked, but that doesn't mean it wasn't appropriate to have a guardianship order to ensure she didn't fritter her money away, she took her meds and went to therapy. |

If they'd done nothing and let her blow all her money on sycophants and continue to put her kids in danger, people would be condemning her family for not stepping in and doing something.
She's just exhausting - I know that for a lot of people she defines their adolescence or whatever, but she's a mediocre singer of bubble gum pop. I wish she'd just go away.

I've acted as a lawyer for people in similar circumstances (of needing guardianship or administration orders) and it's so hard to strike a balance between informed consent and working with the disabled person, to strictly enforcing structure they refuse to accept.

Although that statement is fucked, she didn't write it. There's no way.
There are no emojis. There are no quotation marks. There are only a handful of exclamation points.
Other than the fact that she sounds like an asshole here, it's moderately cogent and mostly readable. Clearly not her writing as it didn't give me a throbbing migraine from trying to translate her typical gibberish. I doubt her husband wrote it because it's not in crayon, but it definitely wasn't her.
