The lawsuit may be in the early stages but there was enough for a judge to terminate the conservatorship without reservations…
Like I said, she probably would have greatly benefited from a conservatorship run with her actual best interests at heart but that would have meant her family had no part in it, and would have required actual oversight.

And she may be nuts but that quote about the 40K she pays kfed and her kids every month might just be proof that even a broken clock is right twice a day… the cash cow got her rights back and her crappy family can’t drug her and make her put on a show every night in Vegas for all eternity anymore to keep them in the lifestyle they got accustomed to…

I dunno, I wasn't under the impression the judge terminated it because of conservator abuse, I thought it was that Britney requested it and Jamie agreed to it. Boom, conservatorship over. Which I agree was fucked up, doing it without so much as a psych eval. It was almost like, well all you had to do is ask, and you never asked.

As far as all the claims of abuse, have those been confirmed by anyone, or is this just Britney's version? Because I don't trust her narrative. Especially since she is painting this as a big conspiracy against her, and not owning up to ANY responsibility. I think we would all agree that she was off the rails and someone needed to step up. Whether it should have gone on this long, we don't know. We also don't know her exact diagnosis, and whether it was even possible to guide her into adulthood. Yeah, her attorney might be making lots of allegations, but proving them is another thing. And I question his motives too.

You're not dealing with a normal situation of two adults parenting a child here. There are two children here. And the chronological child is actually more mature than the mentally unstable adult child.

I thought kfed was the adult until he started using his kids as pawns and letting them be interviewed which you know they only did because they knew Britney is too unstable not to respond. I sense jamie spears behind the scenes pulling the strings…

If KFed really wants to keep the gravy train rolling, I don't know why he would work with Jamie or encourage the boys to give an interview. We can see Britney's reaction to that. She's likely to cut off support as soon as she's legally able. The smarter play would have been to encourage the boys to spend time with Britney, since she controls the money now.

Agreed.  Also, having kids around these ages, I would not have squelched their desire to express their opinion about a situation. However, I would definitely have done everything I could to keep them from doing it in the public eye where they could become a lightning rod.

The whole situation is a clusterfuck and I don't think there is a reliable narrator amongst them.

I dunno, i genuinely believe i might have some sort of lasting brain damage from years of meds (or that's just me being melodramatic and paranoid, lol who knows?!), and i can't imagine having it all have played out in the media. And i definitely wouldn't be taking my own perception of many situations as "truth" when i was unwell. There's no shame in being unwell, but i think for your own wellbeing some things need to be private.

People need to stop talking to the media and start talking to each other. Or just stop talking - full stop! I'm just genuinely saddened by the whole thing.

I'm 53 and I know what it's like to have a mentally ill close family member rail at/about you on social media. The best thing to do is not engage and let your silence speak for you.

I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy and it's extra sad that it's her own teenaged child.
