A lot of places are reporting (citing TMZ) that Sam and Britney have split following a big row after Sam confronted Britney about rumours that she cheated on him.

I don't even know if I believe Sam would be upset enough about her cheating on him to actually divorce her. If anything, it would be the straw that broke that nest of impossible crazy's back, but come on now.

He's threatening to tell "extraordinarily embarrassing" stories about Britney unless she renegotiates the prenup. Well, this is all very shocking news. I'm honestly not sure whether being on her own will be better or worse for Britney.  |

I'm honestly not sure whether being on her own will be better or worse for Britney. Plus, it seems like he has literally thousands of mcemsored nudes in his possession. It might be subject to revenge porn laws, though. Would that apply if they were photos she already released, just without the emojis on top? |

To be fair, they have been together since 2016. I suspect they got married because they finally had the opportunity after the guardianship ended and the new situation brought out a lot of issues that had been hidden until then - for both of them. I would guess that he had a stabilizing influence on her and she doesn't want that now because she is in free fall. Appearantly she has become physical with him in the last few months, and I have no sympathy for her when the victim of her spousal abuse files for divorce.

In 2004, she wed dancer Kevin Federline. Their three-year marriage would come at a time of intense media scrutiny and increasing mental health struggles for Spears. Federline is the father of her two teenage sons, and has custody of the boys. She would be placed in the conservatorship run by her father in 2008. She did well under the arrangement at first, continuing to release records, make videos, and perform live, including a major concert residency in Las Vegas. But as she appeared less in public, fans began to demand that the court #FreeBritney, in what would eventually become a major movement. Since the conservatorship ended, Spears has put out music, including a collaboration with Elton John in 2022, but has not performed live in years, nor announced plans to do so.
