People forget she has acted like this for ages. I really believe it may all boil down to severe drug addiction. All these behaviors also point towards an unmanaged mental illness. I think she’s has schizoaffective disorder and drug use in 2007/2008 exacerbated the illness. She was target age for onset. Frankly, the conservatorship was much needed at the time it was put in place. I also think a lot of the limitations in place were also needed until she was stabilized but based on what she has stated over and over, I don’t think she ever reached the stage of the illness being well managed and an allowance for more agency and autonomy.

This. The conservator-ship was the right call, but the execution just pasted over the very real mental illness she was suffering from. Professionals should have managed her treatment with medication only one step in the process of helping her to live a really great life. Instead the goal seems to have been just to keep her working. Working probably provided her with the structure she needed, but it was at the expense of creating and nurturing deep and joyful relationships and memories. It's so obvious she suffered from abuse - mental, physical and emotional - and I wish healing that trauma would have been the priority. Of course the whole thing was even more difficult because she was not the sweetest or smartest person. It's a convoluted mess.

The last time I remember seeing her genuinely happy was just after they'd started trying to rehab her image and she was giving dance lessons to some little kids at a studio. There had to have been a middle ground between that and sticking her on the Vegas treadmill but, of course, that wouldn't have made as much money.

Has she ever said that she wanted to give up showbiz and live a quiet life? Because I always see the conservators criticised for keeping her working, which was obviously too much for her, but I wonder whether she loves the spotlight too much to give it up, and the conservators decided that a stable spot in Vegas was better than the alternatives? If she wants to go buy a ranch or an island and retire, now she can do it, but instead she twirls and massages her tits on Insta in her beige house.

She 100% craves the attention, it's all she has known since she was a young kid. I imagine without she probably has a huge void in her life. If she wanted to be left alone she could easily arrange for that. Move out of California, stop going to trendy restaurants, etc.
I just feel sad for her. Such obvious mental issues and surrounded by people who want to mooch off of her. Even if Sam truly loves her people will always question his motivations.

I do feel sorry for her and wish her well but at the same time I want to roll my eyes and shake her. Mental illness aside she’s such a self-centered and narcissistic brat. Mental age of eleven? I know some very nice eleven-year-olds. She’s exhausting.

Britney Spears is already scoping out applicants to buy the Calabasas home she only lived in briefly ... but we're told the potential sale is happening on the DL. Sources familiar with the sale tell TMZ ... the singer started showing the pad off-market this past week, and she's asking for $12 mil -- not a huge jump from the $11.8 million price tag when she and Sam Asghari bought it last year. We're told Brit quickly moved out of the home after moving in -- mainly because the house was way too exposed for her. She didn't put any money toward renovations inside or out on the 1.6-acre lot. TMZ broke the story ... Brit bought the place, which is located in the same neighborhood as her ex, Kevin Federline, last June -- right around the time she and Sam got married. Of course, it wasn't a long stay for the newlyweds. As we first reported, Britney just didn't fall in love with her new surroundings and quickly looked to ditch the estate. She and Sam have a great plan B -- the old Thousand Oaks mansion she bought back in 2015. She never sold it after the move to Calabasas, so it's back to her living room backdrop ... which is pretty iconic now, thanks to Britney's IG videos. Already price cut to just shy of $11m

12M impulse purchase? At least her financial planning is solid. /sarcasm

Too exposed? Maybe those pictures don't show enough background of the new house but the old house is pretty exposed too, there's a road right next to her property line. I think she bought the new house for the new marriage and maybe there's trouble in paradise?

Several weeks back many people were asking Sam on IG why Britney kept posting from the old house rather than the new one. I can't remember exactly what his response was but it was along the lines of "there was no room for her horses", IIRC. However, the new house is close to KFed and the boys. I wonder if she anticipated the ease of living closer to the kids/them visiting and since the kids don't want to see her she did the Britney response of "fuck them, I'm selling".

She might have 20 acres but it's not exactly equestrian - she also has no fences.

she could build a stable and a ring. i have been to a few houses here where they did that.
but likely it is what charmed suggested, probably an FU to britney's kids.

well we with less assets probably cannot even afford to do that. instead of 'Get off my lawn', "i'm picking up and MOVING my lawn!"
