^ I regret to inform I found said baby mouse on the carpet, dead. And, weirdest shit ever, another dead mouse ON my rolled up yoga mat. As in, yoga mat is standing up, and the mouse was on the side, vertical. Hanging there. Dead. WTF?? The poor little bugger probably died of shock while trying to scale it to get away. The mighty hunter (the intelligent one, not the plughole gazing idiot) seems to have developed a taste for finding her own dinners. Bloke heard her meeping and singing under the table and upon investigation found her trying to chew her way into a small, unopened piece of jalapeno cheese. It turns out he'd not closed the fridge door properly, so she'd decided to help herself.

I used to have one that did that when I was married kittylady Rant/Rave (you choose). Had a 9am meeting. I hate 9am meetings. Logged in. Heard someone that I spent 8-9 weeks trying to help them slagging me off. Absolute poison. Interrupted her & corrected her. Later in the meeting when she was bitching about a product I basically told the rest of the meeting what she had done & corrected her againShe had the nerve to say "it was a private meeting" 🤣 I was supposed to have a meeting with her in the afternoon to "get to the bottom" of her issues (that would take more than 30 mins so TG it was just her work woes!!!!) So... I took the rest of the day off. As a fuck you. And told my colleague why And not to have the meeting today Because an emergency on your part is not my problem. (We developed & built a tech solution. We built their requested solutions. They got a new manager (this fuckwit) and 2 weeks before launch they told us that everything we had done for them, that they had signed off, for the past 2 years wasn't what they wanted.)

Good for you! So that's a client then, so to speak? Not someone in your team / company?

Internal "client" someone who works for the same organisation as I do.
I painted the wall in my bathroom (3 walls are pale grey faux marble aquaboard) a subtle pink. It looks amazing this morning. I also painted some wooden panels dark blue to make a fence with the psycho pet-killer next door.

So she took over two years in, and is now saying it's not what they wanted? What a strange move from her side. But yeah I am used to working with people like that. Unfortunately. They have some kind of superiority complex.

They have some kind of superiority complex. Or they are so disorganized and lazy they need to pretend their problems are of everybody else's making.

Agreed! Unfortunately it doesn't really matter, they are the same shitty person to deal with.

Rave
Can finally post now that I have risen from the pit of despair in which I was a few days ago XD So my parents and I are undertaking some renovations in my apartment (not exactly renovations, the building is from 2015 so everything is brand new, but we took down a wall to make a room bigger. Bye-bye my 3sqm walk-in closet XD) As everything costs an arm, a liver and your first born in Sweden we decided to do everything ourselves, and every problem we thought could happen, did happen. Because of course they did XD So I had to redo the floor in the entire room, there was no way I could salvage the existing floor and patch it up, and le me tell you my apartment has some fancy ass bitch floor in real wood - so that was 50£/ square meter when I had factored in around 20£/m ^^’ Then of course the electric cables came from inside the fucking ceiling. Which is in solid concrete. So I had to call in a friend who called a friend to come and help us with that, and that’s when he discovered that the electric board was labeled by idiots. So when he switched off the electricity in some areas it didn’t at all correspond to what it was supposed to take down, so as a result some fuse burnt and we had to call a guy from the building’s insurance to come with a master key and fix that fuse. I hope they deem it wasn’t our fault and we don’t get that bill but I’m not holding my breath. Anyways! Now it is fixed, the cables at back in the ceiling and the switches an plugs on the new wall, the room went from 8 to 12 square meters and finally all of our books fit XD It’s not quite all done yet, lot of caulking and painting still, but we can already enjoy that massive hobby room, Swede will finally has the space to have a nice rocking chair for his reading (Swede is an inner grandpa lol) and I hav so much space around my sewing table I love it !!!!

Awesome, Pixie! Sorry it cost more than you were expecting. I guess it's always to case when you undertake renovations, you know there are gonna be some bad surprises and unexpected costs (So somehow, you do expect the unexpected costs? XD) but it's still for some reason, extremely infuriating when this happens! To be fair the floor was expensive but very easy to install, took me and my parents less than 4 hours for a 12sqm room (it's a nice rectangle though, no weird ass angles !) I gave away the old one on Facebook Market and made someone very happy, so there's that as well The most infuriating is the electricity - of course I don't mind paying the guy who dug the trench in the ceiling, dragged my cables all the way to the new wall, and connected everything. What I do mind is paying the guy from the building's insurance who changed the fuse that burnt, because had the contractors done their job correctly, the cables would have been labelled correctly and we would not have short circuited the system. And honestly, being French and all I'm of course gonna complain, because that electric cabinet is a health risk. At some point my electrician took down the electricity in the room to work on the cables, and some of the cables were still somehow fucking connected to the electricity! So of course he got fried, thank god it wasn't much, but I can't help but thinking it could have been serious. Anyways, in the end it will end up being less than 1500 euros to redo the entire room, paint and wallpaper not included, and half of that is just the floor XD so it is not too bad. Having it done by professionals here would have been around 10 to 15K I already found a cute little sofa on FB market, can't wait to get it (the room will also serve as a guest room, so we did need a convertible sofa. I also did need something to sit on when I'm sewing XD)

Rant - our lawn tractor has some kind of hole in the rear tire - no idea where - I pump it up every time I gut the grass, and it loses about half the air in it by the time I finish cutting the grass. Not horrible.
Rant - the forward reverse lever on the tractor is now broken and stuck in the forward position. I figured a route around my lawn where I never have to back up. But I should get a mechanic to fix that.
Rant - yesterday, the final insult. I had put this green goo-like patching compound inside the tire to patch wherever the whole was. It did not work AT ALL. But to make matters worse, when I was checking the air, I found out that I had rolled over a loose piece of metal fencing that had punctured a SECOND tire in two places. Now, I have to pump that up, too, every time I cut the grass.
