Rant Reaaaaaal shitty year so far at the studio, I'm nearly 10K below what I did last year in that first trimester, I am starting to feel very worried about my business never catching up and don't quite know what more I can do. It's not like I can lasso people in the streets and force tattoo them Rave ComicCon coming soon, at least there's that! I get it, but honestly everyone is broke in this economy. I keep seeing on TikTok salon owners and stylists complaining about how much money they've lost this year and people in the comments explaining that those services are a luxury and no one can afford it anymore. I'd assume tattooing is the same and its not going to change until prices on basic living come down or everyone gets a collective raise.

Yeah I can't say I blame people, tattoos are a luxury and in a time when people already struggle to afford rent, and heat and food, tattoos are definitely not a priority Even I haven't been to the hairdresser in a while to save a few bucks

Rant: The swollen eyes weren't a side effect of the reaction to flu meds, just a coincidental case of conjunctivitis thanks to the respiratory infection.
Rave: I finally found something that helped to keep it bearable and reduce the itch-rub-ouch-itch cycle - good old fashioned Vaseline (petroleum jelly). Rubbing a tiny dab on my eyelids and undereye area made a huge difference in how itchy and dry the skin felt, which lead to way less unconscious rubbing which means that it's finally starting to clear up. Now if only the immense amounts of sinus and lung gunk would start to clear up too...

Oh kittylady you're having a rough time of it. (Rave) I had my hair colours when I had it cut yesterday & she's done a great job at covering up the masses of grey that was coming though. (Rant) I got whammies for parking so it's going to cost me double with the fine.

Rant: the cash I got today for my tattoo fell out of my pocket, stupidest way to lose 200 euros >_< I read that with half an eye the first time that your tattoo fell off and that that was the stupidest way to lose 200 euros as in you had it done by a fake tattoo artist.

Rant - my Samsung phone has literally the worst autocorrect function I have ever seen on a phone or computer. It will unfailingly FAIL to recognize or correct a misspelling - even a nonsense word that doesn't exist. Also, it corrected "make" as "naked". I think the spirit of Larry Flynt got reincarnated into my stupid phone.
(and no - I have never typed "naked" into my phone previously)

(and no - I have never typed "naked" into my phone previously) that's been my experience any time i've tried to use a samsung, which is rarely, because they make no sense to me at all. pixie i'm so sorry about your cash! that sucks! this is why i never use my pockets for anything other than lipstick/gloss or my back jeans pocket for my phone. i've never dropped that much but i have lost 10s and 20s and i just don't trust myself to not just randomly drop stuff and i'm a slave to my purse/backpack

I am so so pissed, I've been trying to vent by hyperactively fixing everything I could in my place just to keep busy enough to not think - didn't work, I am still so upset at myself for stuffing money in my phone pocket, obviously I was gonna lose it whenever I took my phone out >_<

ugh i feel for you. it's so infuriating and frustrating. i also had really close calls with jewelry before. i left the house and didn't ahve time to put earrings on so just grabbed them - real gold ones - adn put them in my pants pocket and then of course forgot to put them on, and almost dropped them in the toilet when i went to pee. and another time almost did the same with a gold ring.

This is why I only wear cheap watches now. The number of times I've taken them off while doing something and stuffed them in my jeans pocket and lost them or put them through the washing machine is untrue. Funnily enough, the cheaper the watch, the less likely I am to lose or wreck it. The cute cartoon cat ones that I got from Wish for a couple of quid all lasted 8 - 12 months until the battery gave up but I went through 3 decent quality ones in a year (lost one, washed one, dropped one and broke it).

Only wind up (clockwork) watches work on me. I can apparently drain a quartz battery quite quickly.
