The outlet adds that after the crash, bystanders had tried to help Anne, however, she allegedly backed up and drove off before crashing into another home.

That’s where her Mini Cooper car was “engulfed” in flames.

According to sources close to TMZ, Anne is currently in the hospital and intubated. She is expected to live following the ordeal.

“Her condition prevents doctors from performing any tests to determine if she was driving under the influence of alcohol,” the outlet adds.

OMG. What the hell? She crashed into 2 homes? This seems confusing...

A car burst into flames after a driver lost control and flew into a home in Mar Vista. Lauren Coronado reports Aug. 5, 2022.

Actress Anne Heche was critically injured in a fiery car crash into a house in Mar Vista on Friday, sources tell NBCLA.

The crash was reported shortly before 11 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Walgrove Avenue, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Police said the driver was speeding down a residential street and launched 30-feet into a home. The Mini Cooper involved in the crash was speeding and possibly hit a curb before launching at more than two feet through the front yard and into the home.

The home owner was in the backyard at the time of the crash and was not injured.

A neighbor described what he saw after that driver was rescued.

"The house was tons of smoke. I think they used the crane to move the car to extract the driver. It was crazy."

Humphrey said car stopped within a 738- square-foot two-story home that was built in 1952.

I know she has mental issues so hopefully that was the cause. I have a soft spot for her.

I like Anne, too, but this is not looking very good for her. TMZ sucks but they also have the dirt, because of course they do. There is a photo of what does appear to me to be a bottle of Smirnoff vodka (maybe?) in the front console.



There is also Ring camera footage of her speeding down a tiny side street and another video where a man is telling her to get out of the car and she just drove away (after the first crash).  I feel terrible for the homeowner.  Sounds like she was in a state of shock and her home is destroyed.

Some pictures of the car. There's also a video (someone's security camera) about of her driving past and it looks like she was really flooring it. She's incredibly lucky that she wasn't killed and didn't kill anyone else.

As far as I can tell, there are no skid marks which means she didn't try to stop. But what's really creepy about the ring doorbell cams is that you can hear her car whistling up before you see her drive by and then if you wait a second you can hear the crash.



This video is when Anne is being taken away and for some reason the helicopter dude thinks Anne is a he so just ignore that.  But you can see how far into the house her car traveled.  The house is a complete loss.

Wow, I feel sorry for her due to mental health issues. But so irresponsible.

I'm torn, she's always been messy, but she's also probably severely mentally ill. Was it drunk driving or an attempt at suicide or was she just completely mental? Sounds like she tried to hit and run here, with devastating results for herself. I do feel sorry for her, but much more for the other people who are affected by this.

When a person is seriously burned so much so that they can't even feel the pain because of nerve damage, that's when they can just walk on and try to get off a gurney like she did, even though they may be in critical condition. Reminds me of Nikki Lauda when he crashed in Formula 1 and nearly kicked the bucket. I wonder if she intentionally tried to kill herself, because in that case she should have just tried to run into a tree, not into a home. That is speculation, of course, on my part.

^ Strangely enough, her brother killed himself by driving into a tree when he was 18. Well, Anne always said she thought it was suicide.

My first thought was that she was trying to kill herself. She's had a lot of issues. This is really sad.
