Uck! And a massively pro Cathy & Bill (mainly) paid blog had a “super secret” photo of them skiing in Courchevel & then bitchy comments about H&M “bumping” people out of 1st class; when other folks had seen H&M in the 1st class lounge & were on the same flight….. I wonder just how jealous boorish Bill was with all the coverage? Totally planted photo, they were “watching [eldest son I forget his name] have a skiing lesson - no way there are two lots of heirs to the thrown (along with her sister & various hangers on) without security there to keep an eye out on them all.  |

Harry served in Iraq, in secret. However, after four months he was removed from the country, urgently, because news of his tour of duty was leaked to the press. This tour of duty took place after his first deployment was rejected because threats were made against him. A world famous male redhead would be an easy target for a terrorist attack. His former role in the Armed Forces, with all the known risks was the reason why he requested armed security. However, the British main stream media seem to have collective amnesia about the severe risks that were identified previously! It's no surprise that newspaper sales are down year on year. If I was in his position I wouldn't enter the UK, either! Not wanting to be an arse about it but he never went to Iraq. It was all cleared but there had been such speculation in the press that they knew where he would be so it was called off. Reports are that he was really fucked off about it. He went to Afghanistan for 2 x 10 weeks/2 months - again the 1st time it was leaked by the media (Australian press IIRC) despite an embargo. Rank & file didn’t want him to go due to the risk to everyone else in a dangerous situation but I think that he was actually ok as an army officer. Unlike Andrew who was a dick to everyone. No problem, Nov! I came back to edit my post when I realised that I'd mixed up Iraq and Afghanistan! I only saw my notifcations a few minutes ago so I thought I'd better give you a shout out. I bet Will & Kate's kids have armed security protection. Also, given the fact that basically no one has even seen these kids since birth they'd be a huge draw for all sorts of crazies. I think his concerns are valid. Will and Kate didn't leave the Royal family. They still have the 'perks' of being working royals. I don't think the danger is as big as they make out anyway, honestly. There have been people convicted and sent to prison in the UK for threatening them. They were white supremacists. There was also a white powder sent to one of the palaces in an envelope addressed to Meghan and Harry that sparked an anthrax scare. Not to mention the numerous threats that are posted on social media. The palace took those threats seriously. The Netherlands already offered them armed protection for their time there… for free even though Harry offered to pay. I think it’s just common sense that two of the most high profile royals in the world are always at risk. They are no less at risk than Kate and Will, if not more at risk. No white supremacists are targeting Bill and Cathy. Anyway, no one can say Meghan doesn’t interest people because she’s trending and she has Valentino trending too. She is currently shattering Twitter. I know Bill and Cathy are fuming. |

Of course there is a risk for all of them I just didn't think the odds of the security actually having to use a gun is quite as high as they were making out. I don’t know about Papua New Guinea. It did strike me that Bill & Cathy went to countries with small NGP & spent a lot of money on their visit ($19k hotels???) but Princess Anne went and spent her time in modest hotels. |
