I bet Will & Kate's kids have armed security protection. Also, given the fact that basically no one has even seen these kids since birth they'd be a huge draw for all sorts of crazies. I think his concerns are valid. Will and Kate didn't leave the Royal family. They still have the 'perks' of being working royals. I don't think the danger is as big as they make out anyway, honestly.

I think the paps there would be the worst considering how crazy the tabloids go over them. It just takes one nutjob though. I'm sure they get plenty of death threats. Even if H and M can't pay for the same security the royals get if they go to the UK, I don't think it's crazy for them to ask for there to be some coordination, security briefs and whatnot. That's what the Netherlands appear to have agreed to do.

I love that they snuck in to visit Granny and nobody knew until after the fact. Eugenie must be their inside mole. Also, the leaking leakers who leak are on vacation.

People on Twitter were saying, I bet the Queen has a burner phone to talk to Harry. I totally believe this. I thought that the British tabloids had the inside scoop on everything H and M. How did they miss this? They must be passing themselves trying to come up with a crazy way to spin this.

They have film of the vehicles arriving so they didn’t miss it.
Taniwha - the #DailyHeil did mention that Cathy & Bill were off skiing with their tax drains - so *big* hint from them about where they get their info.

Harry served in Afghanistan, in secret. However, after four months he was removed from the country, urgently, because news of his tour of duty was leaked to the press. This tour of duty took place after his first deployment, to Iraq, was rejected because threats were made against him. A world famous male redhead would be an easy target for a terrorist attack. His former role in the Armed Forces, with all the known risks was the reason why he requested armed security. However, the British main stream media seem to have collective amnesia about the severe risks that were identified previously! It's no surprise that newspaper sales are down year on year. If I was in his position I wouldn't enter the UK, either!

If I was in his position I wouldn't enter the UK, either! Thank you. They will always be at risk because they are Prince Harry and Meghan. Nobody with any hint of security training could overlook their risk factor as two of the most popular and controversial royals in the world - whether they are filling out their dance card for service to the royal family or service to one or more of the very worthy causes/enterprises they support, which admittedly requires them to be too political to serve within the structure of the Firm. The very minimal security training I went through for my job back in the stone ages was pretty clear about risk assessment - it's normally not rocket science because common sense will provide the correct answer 95% of the time. Harry and Meghan, and by extension their children, probably have a bigger target on their backs than Will, Kate & maybe even their children. (George might be the exception - his position as 3rd in direct line to the throne and his estimated wealth of $6 Billion could be soft spots/triggers.) Rightly or wrongly, the Sussexes inspire fevered emotional responses - whether it's adoration or hatred - and emotional impact is a huge part of risk assessment. eta: Meghan and Harry both look great in these photos. It's nice to see becoming a father didn't stop Harry's interest/rapport with children. He may not be the smartest tack in the box, but he is so engaging when his heart is moved by the people and causes he believes in. He has some of his mother's charisma which seems to be easily activated by people in need. Poor Wills will never be as natural with people as Harry, but he has many other strengths. It's a shame they are at such an awful place in their relationship. I would have thought that relationship was as solid as they come. For the most part I believe William's corrosive jealousy was and is to blame.

It was all cleared but there had been such speculation in the press that they knew where he would be so it was called off. Reports are that he was really fucked off about it. He went to Afghanistan for 2 x 10 weeks/2 months - again the 1st time it was leaked by the media (Australian press IIRC) despite an embargo. Rank & file didn’t want him to go due to the risk to everyone else in a dangerous situation but I think that he was actually ok as an army officer. Unlike Andrew who was a dick to everyone.

I think the odds of a situation arising where a gun is truly necessary to save the day are pretty tiny.

Harry and Meghan both look good, I really like Meghan's jeans/jacket combo and they both seem to have a great time.
Mike Tindal (sp?) really got the mini-me he'd always wanted. I'm pretty sure Z.s and his girls are really feisty. good for them.

Princess Anne toured Australia & Papua New Guinea Princess Anne has just returned from her first royal tour since the start of the pandemic, visiting Australia and Papua New Guinea with her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. Unlike what you might expect from the daughter of the Queen, however, she didn't have a hairstylist or makeup artist in her entourage. Instead, the enterprising Princess reportedly prefers to apply her own makeup and style her hair in its signature bun whilst on tour. Not only that, but the down-to-earth royal chose to fly commercially on the long journey rather than taking a private jet. Anne also eschewed personal assistants, photographers, and someone to help with royal correspondence. She was accompanied only by her husband, their security detail, and one member of office staff. She's also believed to not have a fashion stylist or advisor, selecting her own outfits. The Princess Royal is known for being one of the hardest-working royals and packed in an impressive 20 engagements into four days during her trip. Anne attended the Sydney Royal Easter Show shortly after landing in Sydney and fans were appreciative of the effort she made, as they shared photos from the event to social media. One wrote: "It's lovely to see Princess Anne in Australia for the platinum jubilee. Such a huge asset to the royal family," while another commented: "Love this hard-working woman." Anne is simply the boss Charles and William aspire to be. A no-nonsense, reasonable, hard working person. I'm pretty sure she also has the most wit and the sharpest tongue of them all.
