I hate thunderstorm blue balls, too. We had that here today. We get that here a lot. A good storm comes along, and then it's like we're in a bubble and it just goes around us. I love a good thunderstorm

We've not even had rain but it's now 16C - I mean WTF? At the beginning of summer, we went from a high of 60/15 one day to a high 97/33 the next. But climate change is a myth, y'all. I hate thunderstorm blue balls, too. We had that here today. We get that here a lot. A good storm comes along, and then it's like we're in a bubble and it just goes around us. I love a good thunderstorm I get that here, too. I technically live in a valley (though it's more or less very flat where I live and I can't detect said valley just by looking) and storms come right up to my town and then split and meet back together directly east. It's weird.

I hope you guys have not seen a lot of deaths from the heatwave. I remember growing up in the KC area, every heatwave we would have a lot of heatstroke deaths because most people didn't have AC, I know I mostly grew up without it. It always hit the elderly really hard and we would have fan drives. Our church would buy a bunch of fans and then we'd take the church bus around town checking on all of our elderly folks and setting free fans up for them if they'd let us. A lot would refuse because they didn't want to run up their electric bill.

I've not heard of many (any?) but maybe they just haven't started to smell yet? I know that my next-door (93) is ok as her daughter has COVID & I've been around every morning to do a test with her (the mum not the daughter). My folks (82&85) survived. Mother moaned *a lot*!!!! We must be lucky?

You better check on your old folks!

Yeah mine are ok. It's back to "normal" summer here, 16-22C and today it's rained a lot. So happy as my garden is desperate for a bit of rain.
