Ah, you must forgive us old people, for we never had the opportunites of stripping online, being influencers or having youtube channels to make our own money.
When Paris Hilton flashed her bits on camera and had a sex tape, and of course Kim K too, that would have been career suicide in our day, not a way to start a career. Anyone remember how Vanessa Williams had to surrender her Miss America title when some old nudie photos surfaced? Now, its as common as those scribble tattoos they all seem to love.

yeah, good point about VW. someone with talent who was reduced to doing sad print modeling in a now defunct shirt catalog. i had a friend who was her classmate in HS in chappaqua and she said VW was lovely.

Well, look at her parents.
It's not like these kids grew up where things such as access to a top notch education were valued or prioritized. Which is a shame and a waste, but life's definitely not fair.
The bar is pretty low here. All she has to accomplish is not fucking up as badly as her parents (especially Charlie) to be a success.

i realize her parents are not rhodes scholars but still.
she was enrolled at a private HS. dumbass CS let her drop out. the rest is history.
i just think it is a tragic waste of resources. i see kids with fewer ops who grab the ring and go as far as possible. have struggles along the way but make it happen.

I'd hardly call her a hero. But if she's supporting herself and not doing anything illegal then :::shrug::: It's Bob and Max I probably imagine have the parents (or whoever is doing the parenting) sleeping with one eye open nightly. I’d forgotten about those little animal abusers. Wonder where they are now. Those kids were little sociopaths which makes me wonder what happened to them to make them that way... maybe i am the lone voice and i find it kind of repugnant. these kids have access to the best education, parents who can pony up and pay for tuition, books, support during internships, freedom from financial worry, everything that other kids would give their left nut to have. and this dumbass blows her opportunities on OF. such a waste. but she's not a felon or a leach. so yay. *golf clap* a whole generation of kids who think being a media influencer is a sound career path. #sad but i agree that denise is doing the right thing by supporting her kid. I don't think OF is particularly appealing for a privileged 18-year-old either, and I'm probably going to sound cynical and mean, but I also don't know what good college would be for her. If that were her thing, she'd probably already be doing it. I think it would annoy me more if she wasted space at college because her parents made her go just because they could afford it. (See Lori Loughlin's younger daughter.) And I'm saying this as someone who used to be a huge cheerleader for higher education, but I think I've just grown bitter and disillusioned.

i meant if she worked and actually got in on her own merit. not with a staged crew pic.

LOL I know what you mean, but even if Lori hadn't photoshopped her daughter's way into college, that daughter did not want to be there and said she was just there to party. And she was not...academically inclined. To put it nicely. In my opinion. I did actually feel bad for the older daughter because she actually liked school and was doing pretty well IIRC.
I was debating if I wanted to point out that Sami's issues stem from probably being raised in an environment that probably didn't encourage studying or reading or learning about the world, but at the same time it's true that kids who didn't have her opportunities do work hard and make it so it's almost not really an excuse. I don't know. I'm sure there are lots of people on OF who are actually doing it to pay for school whereas she doesn't have to. I think this generation, for the time being, don't really care if their nudes are on the internet forever and from what I've heard OF pays better than food service and you don't have some miserable manager yelling in your ear all the time.

Gone also are the days when going to college and having a good work ethic were guarantees that you can put a roof over your head, so I find it really hard to judge. She's showing initiative and making her own money and possibly her own mistakes and by doing OnlyFans she can set her own rules. "Stripping online" can be a lot safer than stripping elsewhere. I don't think there ever really was a time when people with important jobs doing important things were heroes or even celebrities for that matter. I also don't think Sami's trying to be a hero and I doubt this is going to be much of a path to lasting fame for her, but I guess we'll see. maybe i am the lone voice and i find it kind of repugnant. these kids have access to the best education, parents who can pony up and pay for tuition, books, support during internships, freedom from financial worry, everything that other kids would give their left nut to have. and this dumbass blows her opportunities on OF. such a waste. but she's not a felon or a leach. so yay. *golf clap* a whole generation of kids who think being a media influencer is a sound career path. #sad but i agree that denise is doing the right thing by supporting her kid. i agree with both of you. to czb's point, yes, she has all that access and money, but i think for any kid that age to be able to appreciate that, they'd have to have grown up in a home where parents valued an education and actually parented them, which i doubt was the case for sam or any of sheen and richards' kids.

I don't like it, but recognize that internet content creator/influencer is a legitimate profession now. Too bad she feels the need to do it naked, but not my kid so not my problem.

No wonder McDonald's can't get kids to work for them anymore.

The lack of parenting and encouragement of academic pursuits is sadder to me than the OF. I do of course hope that if Sami ever wants to go to school that she decides to, but maybe that ship has sailed for her. And everybody and their sister is doing OF these days, or so it feels like. I also think that I am brushing the fact aside that she may just be doing this as an act of rebellion. Who knows what she knows about her parents' pasts? This might just have started out as a big fuck you to them. trixie Hell, I'd rather work at OF than McDonald's. I loved school and college and I still probably would have been tempted to do OF in college if it were a thing. I doubt I would have gone through with it because I had zero self esteem then. But then there's the catch...you know it's mostly going to be girls, some gay guys, and very few men shaking their bits for money to put themselves through college so some, if not all, of that empowerment kind of still goes out the window IMO.

When she's older and can't support herself with her looks/her sexuality (and who knows how long a shelf life she'll have here) she may look back and wish she'd had a back up plan that included any kind of education or marketable skill. My guess is she'll do like Demise and find a husband(s) to hook up with.
Just seems like a waste of a privileged life

I agree with czb. It's a shame to me. She is 18 so not much mom or dad can do about it though. Maybe she'll be smart and keep it clean-ish, making money off her famous name versus her actual ass.
But I'm probably biased. Because I think making a living off of exploiting your cooch is sad.
