My MIL and her partner got Covid, they flew to Norway and were on their sailing boat, together with another couple. They all cought it but are fine, thankfully. Still sucks to be sick on a sailing boat. My BIL caught it last week as well, probably got it from one of his band mates as he doesn't work right now and doesn't go to many places. His girlfriend is fine though. All three of them never had Covid before, and are vaccinated and got at least one booster. Ah and my friend got it for the third time now. Young, healthy, very fit, vaccinated, booster. So weird. And funny enough, her boyfriend never got it. He always tested negative.

Soweird isn't it?
My BIL has it but my sister is -ve. My nephew has gone on holiday to Wales after testing -ve. But we don't have to isolate or anything now (wtf?).
One of my team has it & can hardly speak, she's just back from holiday & thinks she knows when she was exposed.
My brother has it for the first time & he's suffering - he's vaccinated etc & it's his husband's birthday next week! He should be clear by then.

The co-worker Bloke went on the course with is positive and a friend of mine has just had to miss her first grandchild's christening as she's got it. She's about 9 or so days in and still throwing out strongly positive tests so what this means about people being clear to return to work after a week is anyone's guess.

Very weird, my BIL tested positive with an at home test kit last Thursday, the test line was almost darker than the control line, so a blazing positive. He went to a test center yesterday to get an offical positive so his immunity for traveling will be prolonged. He tested negative, both antigen and PCR. So either the test kit was wrong or he has it already out of his system.
But seriously, my friend's boyfriend who never got covid, I fear for him. One day the government will kidnap him and use his blood for a cure. He even was in a hospital for a long time last year, and reha center after than, where almost everyone got infected once (at least in the hospital), but he never got it.

Yeah I'm gonna be right there with your friend's boyfriend.
Remember that amusement park I went to? Well my friend who was there with me got Covid. Remember my parents who brought it with them from holidays? Well, they gave it to my partner.
Who still doesn't have it? Me.
It was already a miracle I didn't catch it at school from all the positive kids we still admitted in classes because "if they're asymptomatic they're fine" (well, no) and from customers at the studio. 3 out of my 5 coworkers got it last christmas and I was still fine XD

If you go missing, we know who to blame.

I haven't gotten it either as far as I know. I've had multiple exposures, needless to say. I've always tested negative. How this is possible I have no idea. If anyone should have gotten it by now, it's me.
I'm vaccinated and boosted. So perhaps I have unknowingly had it but remained asymptomatic. But as far as I know, nothing yet.

^^^^ yeah, it's possible you guys had it but were asymptomatic, but it's also possible you're one of those people who are genetically predisposed to be kind of immune to it. my best friend took care of her husband when he had it (twice), her oldest son who also had it twice, and isolated for a week with her at the time 1.5 year old baby when he had it, and she never got it.
i was reading about a study they were doing and how hard it was to find those people because antibodies only stay in your system a certain amount of time so unless you get antibody testing regularly throughout the pandemic, it's impossible to tell if you're a true covid virgin or just had it asymptomatically long ago enough that you don't have antibodies anymore.

I haven't gotten it yet either, knock wood. I still haven't even gotten a booster yet, although everyone else in my family has. I probably should get one before my trip to the UK next month, if that even happens.

Close coworker has it. So does her husband. It sounds like they have heavy symptoms. Another close worker has it, too. She sits about 9 feet outside my office.
If I get it, it's going to be from our son, Mr Popularity who Always Seems to be in Large Crowds. I think we'll know by tomorrow if he caught anything from all the stuff he was doing this past weekend.

Two friends got covid on their trip in the Calif. mountains. Two others got it with their Disneyworld trip and five kids. All symptomatic and miserable. I think the one's that went hiking got it on the plane going there but I haven't talked to them yet. It's still heeeeerrre. All of them wear masks. That no mask mandate on the planes, I just don't know. Waterslide, I'm in NYC and we wear masks in elevators, subways, busses, taxi's and stores. Call it 80% of the people. I wear mine around my ears and neck. It goes up and down all day as I move through the day. I feel protected even if it's not fool proof. There are signs in the windows of stores, No mask, no entry. It's still important. That's pretty much how I wear my mask, too. I have gone without it a few times, which is bad of me, but I had forgotten my bag that I keep them in and don't have extras in my car anymore. I don't linger anywhere, though - I try to get in and out ASAP. Most people where I live are not even wearing them anymore in stores - even the pharmacists don't have them on. The only place I've been lately where masks were required was a doctors office. Cook County/Chicago is on high alert, though. I like that other people and places are still taking this more seriously than they are here.

Not only have I not had it, I haven't even been sick.
I mean, I have occasional sinus allergy issues during pollen season, but even THAT hasn't been so bad the last few years compared to what I used to get. I sometimes have days where I feel a little crappy/low energy in the morning, but nothing that can't be resolved after being awake a couple hours and a couple cups of coffee.
In other words, nothing I would have to call out of work for.
I think the last time I had to be off was early on in the pandemic...in fact, it was around fourth of July holiday 2020...I had a low grade temp and a headache and dizziness and nausea for about 2 days, but negative for Covid. It turned out to be an ear infection, probably because I was showering 2x a day and washing my hair daily and getting a lot of water (more than usual) in my ears. I actually ended up off for 5 days because they would not let me back until my Covid test results came back, which took THAT long back then. If going by how I felt I could have come back by the 3rd day. My boss had me come to the hospital drive through and get tested just because of the temp, which was 100.5
Anyway, that was the last time I was sick enough to not come to work.
I don't get sick much anyway, but I'd say even for me I've been sick way LESS in the last 2-2.5 years than usual. Probably because of the mask wearing, if I had to guess.

I'm stunned I still haven't gotten it. My daughter is out of isolation/quarantine and I've just wrapped up my quarantine as a close contact and tested this morning. Still negative. I really thought with it being in my house it was inevitable and yet here I am. I may totally be jinxing myself now lol
