The hilarious case of Wagatha Christie!

Is anyone following the Colleen Rooney and Jessica Vardy case. Forget the toxicity of the Depp and Heard shitshow. This case is fucking hilarious!

I am following Jim Waterson who is writing about the case. But his live tweets are freaking comedy gold. Here are a few gems.

"Rooney's lawyer claims WhatsApp messages that would show the leaking of stories to the Sun are on a phone dropped off the side of a boat. He says it is now "lying at the bottom of sea in Davy Jones' locker".

Vardy asks the court: "Who is Davy Jones?"

The judge intervenes.

The courts hears comments made by Vardy in the aftermath of the original leak accusation: “Arguing with Coleen is like arguing with a pigeon. You can tell it that you are right and it is wrong but it’s still going to shit in your hair.”

Coleen Rooney looks on intently.
Vardy: “If I’m honest…’
Rooney's barrister David Sherborne: “I would hope you’re honest because you’re sitting in a witness box.”

this case is the best. it's deliciously low stakes and the outcome doesn't matter at all because really, everyone involved is a trashy waste of space!

The Wagatha Christie trial finally got underway this week and though we've only heard ..........Rebekah Vardy's account so far, it's already been dynamite. Celebrity dick chat, Gemma Collins invoked as a semi-alibi, phones dropped in oceans, disputed legal interpretations of the cry-laugh emoji, potential perjury and more.

Because we can't offer too much surrounding context of how WAGs and hacks have historically interacted while the trial is active, we'll just have to sit back and enjoy the reports from court.

But if you want to heighten your experience of the trial at any point, just remember that the actor who had supposedly been lined up to play the part of Rebekah Vardy in that mooted Jamie Vardy biopic that never saw the light of day was... Meghan Markle.

If anyone is still interested in this, the verdict is in - Colleen Rooney has won and Vardy is facing a legal bill of around £3 million after the judge found that she was involved in selling out people's private social media.
