as for those insecure women who fall for dangerous prisoners, the only theory I have is some kind of mental illness and some savior complex where they believe "oh he's just misunderstood, I can save him, he'll love me". completely fucked up all around.

I have family in the town where they caught up with these two. I should ask them if they saw any of this go down.
I can't imagine being able to retire at 56, with a pension, and then go on to do this fuckery. I also can't believe some nearly 7-foot tall dude thought he was going to go unnoticed. And who the fuck runs to Indiana? I would have gone to Florida, laid low, and paid someone to get me out of the country by sea. Not that I know how to go on the run after a prison break, I'm just saying.

I told Mrs Mo when this broke that there is no way a 6 foot 9 inch (205 cm) dude is going to be able to go incognito in public. You are literally 9+ inches taller than the average American male. And 6 inches taller than the average TALL person walking down the street. You can't even hunch over enough to make up for that. It is AMAZING to me how amenable (apparently) lonely or alienated people are to sweet talk and nonsense messaging from predators, politicians, or religious figures. But a guy who is already in prison for serious crimes???
Joyce Mitchell helped spring two guys who she knew would kill her husband as their first punchlist item out of prison. And that husband took her back. I guess he was touched by how she went through with the prison break, but cancelled on his murder.

I think Joyce Mitchell was lonely and bored in her marriage and these inmates gave her attention and of course she was also having sex with both of them. The thrill of the fantasy until it became a reality and they escaped and she didn't show up to meet them on the outside. I don't know about this Vicky White, surely she knew there wasn't a chance they would get away for long. Again, I think she got caught up in the fantasy and then reality hit. Also it doesn't seem like they had much of a plan.

They just caught a couple in the keys a couple of weeks ago who were on the run for murder. Come to Florida, perhaps, but not the Keys where there is only one road in and out.
