Former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker has been jailed for two and a half years for hiding £2.5m worth of assets and loans to avoid paying debts. The six-time Grand Slam champion had denied breaking UK insolvency laws after he was declared bankrupt in 2017, owing creditors almost £50m. Becker, 54, was found guilty of four charges by a jury under the Insolvency Act. He was cleared on 20 counts. He sent almost £390,000 in payments from his business account to others. The case centred on Becker's bankruptcy in June 2017 resulting from an unpaid loan of more than £3m on his luxury estate in Mallorca, Spain. Earlier this month, after two weeks or so hearing evidence, jurors found Becker guilty of removal of property, two counts of failing to disclose estate and concealing debt. They acquitted him on a further 20 charges, including nine counts of failing to hand over his tennis trophies and medals, including two from Wimbledon. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61276378

The yearly tuition alone in private schools in Miami Beach is a small fortune. When we lived where we were actually about to send Dark Jr to St. Patrick's in Miami Beach (because this was the parish where my dad went to church) but ended up sending him to another catholic school where his close-in-age cousin also went (which was not much cheaper!)
Anyway, his kids went to St. Patrick's and that tuition was high as a cat's ass back in '09-'10. I can't even imagine what it must be now.

For fucking preschool? The made up grade(s) that comes before actual grade school really starts? Where they take naps on mats and have snack time with juice and cookies (or crackers)?
Jesusfuckedupchrist. What a scam.

He's been married and divorced multiple times and had lots of relationships which resulted in 4 kids; 3 sons and 1 daughter. That will wear a person (and their bank account) out, LOL. That's not his youngest though, Amadeus is the son he has with his last wife. He's only 12 now, didn't find a recent picture though. But he is much blonder. Also, his wife was (still is) gorgeous.

^You're right. The other boy is Elias, born in 1999. Daughter Anna is from 2000 and the oldest son Noah is from 1994. Here's a picture of Amedeus from 2020, when he was 10. Amadeus with his maternal great grandmother: And with his cousin: And his mom:

I think it's incredible how he has three children that don't look anything like him, and one that looks like him with long hair.

He's just such a tool. I guess that smashing a ball over a net for most of his youth wasn't good for his intellect.

Jesusfuckedupchrist. What a scam. Yeah. Well no naps, and Montessori is more than snack time but essentially, yes. This kid needs the social interaction BAD, and I wanted small class sizes so weŕe doing it. I checked St. Patrickś (sorry, dont know wtf is up with my apostrophe on my keyboard) tuition, and preschool is about 13-14k after all the fees. Afterschool care is extra for people who work and cant pick up at 3.

guys, preschool here (9-5) is like 40k+/yr. add in more for aftercare. private school (not parochial) is like 35k+. that's probably an underestimate. private HS is like 50k+. here's an example www.sfuhs.org/admissions/tuition-and-additional-costsplus they usually ride people's nuts about contributing. so add on for that. the only preschool i found that was cheaper (and not a co-op) was a not-for-profit that's been in place for >40 years. that was MWF and more like 15k/yr. i had to get a nanny for the off days.

I went to Montessori school here back in the day from about age 3 until first grade. I wonder what the cost was back in the 70s?

montessori's amazing but yeah the costs can be crazy in certain cities. my sister swears the two years her kids did in montessori fixed all her parenting mistakes lol and made her kids way more independent and confident.
