It's true that lots of celebrities have social media teams that post for them. But even if Elton didn't write that I reckon he agreed to it being posted.

Very few people working for a 'name' are going to go and make a statement and then deactivate part of the boss' social media presence without the order coming from on high. Musk and his fanboys can flex and blame 'wokeness' all they want, but this will still have come from the man himself. |

Does he not realise he sounds like a total idiot? "Any misinformation in particular you're concerned about?" Yeah, all of it dipshit! He's just admitted that Twitter is full of misinformation, then acts all concerned about getting to the bottom of which particular bullshit finally pushed Elton to quit. Does it matter? It's not like he's going to ban the homophobes and Nazis that he just welcomed back.

Musky has now dissolved Twitters Trust and Safety Council. Y'know, the people who gave their time on a voluntary basis to work towards eliminating misinformation, child pornography and the exploitation of minors across the Twitter platform. Meanwhile Musk is also denying any kind of personal association with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. The internet is disagreeing.  Hot on the heels of that seems to be Musky diving head first down the Q rabbit hole and wanting his followers to go with him.   And coincidentally, Ukrainians seem to have been abruptly cut off from two-factor authenticating Twitter accounts. You can verify if you are from Tuvalu (est. pop. 11,300) or the US Virgin Islands (est. pop. 103,000) but not Ukraine (est. pop. 44 million)  |
