Ha, I'm a total nobody on twitter and I'm not saying a word. I don't want the Depp beehive after me. It's frickin' insane. Yeah, I use my twitter to keep in touch with RL people so there's no way I'm throwing myself into the fray over there. I can't change their minds or even politely ask them to think of looking at both sides and I don't negotiate with trolls. I might have liked a comment here or there on people's locked accounts (but probably not), but I have not interacted with anyone. |

Good for David Krumholtz refusing to be a Depptard. So Ellen Barkin really just confirmed what we all (or some of us) have known for 35 years. Johnny is a long-standing drunk and a junkie. And throws violent tantrums like a baby when shit isn't going his way. Was the D really worth it Ellen? I guess it was, since he was in his prime back then.  |

Ellen Barkin had already had two children with Gabriel Byrne (and apparently was legally separated from him) when she hooked up with Johnny Depp. In the pics posted, he looks drunk and she looks like she is already over him. Then, Barkin married billionaire, Ronald Perelman. If the tack that Depp's lawyers is taking is that she is bitter and scorned, that's pretty lame. |

I fell asleep with my laptop on my lap and woke up to a facebook video of a young woman who was spilling hate towards AH and EB. Kinda disturbing, so much delusion and misogyny from a girl who glorifies Johnny Depp of all old white men with issues. I'm currently awaiting a shitton of hateful answers to my (strictly not namecalling) comment. Girl, love yourself.
Also: "We had a romantic relationship," she said. "Actually, can we change that to 'sexual'?" Ellen Barkin is really telling it how it is. I love it.

The HLN channel has been covering this all morning. From the discussion of the legal panel, it kind of looks like Heard's witnesses (who go beyond Heard, Barkin, and Heard's sister) are doing some damage. I think one of the problems for Depp's legal team is that Heard had described him as "abusive" rather than "physically violent". If Depp's team is trying to make the claim that he was not abusive, then they have already lost. And basically, Depp has spent about $10 Million in legal fees for a social media victory instead of a legal one. It might be enough to make him employable again, though.

All Depp has proven is that he has tons of mindless fans who think Captain Jack can do no wrong. And he's shown the world he has a massive drug and alcohol problem and has squandered his fortune. I don't think he's proven that Amber's op-ed is the sole cause for his downfall. I think it started long before that.

she is a nonbitter, non-jealous, non-fatty.
she has had a full life with highs and lows. from what i've seen in interviews, she has humor and a good attitude. i haven't watched her time in the court, though.

David Krumholz is entitled to his opinion. He's a sweetheart, & I hate the JD fans are harassing him.
Regarding Ellen Barkin, that article was misleading. She didn't say he threw it at her; she literally said, "Mr. Depp threw a wine bottle across the room --the hotel room-- on one instance in Las Vegas, while we were shooting Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas.... A fight was going on... between Johnny Depp & his friends in the room, the assistant, honestly I don't remember." She doesn't remember whether it was full or empty, & it didn't hit her or anyone else. She doesn't know why he threw it or who he was throwing it at. She was among a group of people & it was in the group's direction. It's certainly bad behavior, but she didn't claim that he threw it at her.
Here's her testimony. It's about 11 minutes.
I think Heard's witnesses are doing some damage, but not just to JD. While they've said terrible things about JD, they've all managed to contradict AH & each other.
I'm glad they had his therapist testify, because I felt that that clarified/verified some stuff. For example, a lot of people have claimed the JD's jealous & the therapist confirmed that. Here's his testimony. It's about 30 minutes.

Ellen B is ten years older than Johnny Depp and could probably STILL put it on a dude way better than Johnny could probably now manage with a woman even if you got him sober.

This is one of the few times that Mrs Mo and I disagreed on someone. When she saw Barkin's taped testimony, Mrs Mo said, "OMG, what happened to Ellen Barkin?" I looked, and it appeared that Barkin wasn't wearing makeup, but I thought she looked pretty good. Then, I found out she's 68 -- for that age, I think she looks fantastic. As to whether Depp threw a wine bottle or tossed it, it probably doesn't matter much because legal analysts were discussing just this point and saying that Depp was denying that he was "abusive", which takes many forms, not just hurling glass bottles at people. In addition, it also would not matter if there were times that Heard was also abusive because the basis of the suit is not her behavior. |
