lalasnake, I agree that was quite a tale she spun. And I don't know why she wouldn't take photos to document those kinds of injuries. Especially since she did take a picture of her bruised arm and sent it to her mother. Not sure when that was.
But I don't think she took the pictures of the house. I seem to remember her attorney asking if she took those pictures and she said no. I was thinking, so who did? Since they were all of damages to the house, probably the owners or their property management company to document their claim against Depp. I hope he left a huge security deposit. I do think those pictures depict a person who was clearly out of control.

Didn't really follow but today was stuck staying at school till my daughter finished her exam and from what is happening here need a palate cleanser - we just missed being teargassed by 2 minutes.
My 2 cents
1/ No one walking on eggshells would leave shit on the bed without fleeing the country
2/ her best friend was welcome to stay - so he wasn't jealous of the bestie and normally abusers don't like witnesses
3/ she got dragged through glass but sustained one injury, no medical help?
It just feels wierd

The part in bold is what gets me. It's so specific. I don't think she's imaginative enough to make the detail up that Johnny was so out of control that he was going to kill her and really not even realize it. That is straight up blind, uncontrollable rage and, right or wrong, I can see this play out. That's probably not fair in a way, because I have seen Johnny be violent against women in movies, so maybe that's why it's easier to conjure up that scene in my head. On the other hand, he was clearly a hot mess even on red carpets back then, and everyone seems to forget how fucked up he looked. |

The relative levity of WAGatha Christie has been a welcome reprieve from the unending bleakness of the other big celebrity defamation trial happening across the pond. There's not much to add to the Depp v Heard coverage, but there's one little piece of the puzzle that might be of interest.
Back in 2018, we were approached by a company called Hawthorn Advisors, who were looking to leak some stories to Popbitch about Amber Heard in the hopes we'd run them on behalf of their client. Johnny Depp.
There's nothing particularly astonishing about that, in and of itself. Laundering the reputation of celebs is a lucrative business and we get obvious approaches like that from time to time. The more interesting bit is Hawthorn itself.
At the same time they were courting us, Hawthorn's co-founder Ben Elliot was working another angle, setting up a soft-soap profile for Depp with GQ. How do we know? Because he got himself a little shout out in the body of the piece.
And where is this master of reputation management now? Boris Johnson appointed him Chairman of the Conservative Party in 2019. And no fewer than three former Hawthorn associates currently make up No.10's comms team.
