What "evidence" is there against AH? Johnny's word and the words of his paid flunkies? This case has always been, and remains, a he-said she-said. It all boils down to who the jury finds more credible. Her admitting on tape that she hit him, her telling him on tape that he can call himself an abuse victim & no one will believe him because he's a man, her calling him a pussy & a little bitch on tape for leaving & hiding in the bathroom when they fight, psychologists confirming her aggressive behavior & his avoidant behavior, lack of physical evidence on her part for any abuse of AH, multiple witnesses to her abuse of him, a police officer who did not see evidence of abuse or consider AH abused, & psychologists who never reported AH's claimed abuse despite the fact that they're mandatory reporters. I believe women; I don't believe AH because the evidence is not in her favor. I agree

I believe women; I don't believe AH because the evidence is not in her favor. I agree Hey, don't leave this out: NGN presented the following 14 incidents where they alleged that Depp had been violent towards Heard:[61] Incidents #1 and #2, early 2013:[45][59] Depp, under the influence of alcohol and drugs, hit and shoved Heard on at least two occasions at her home. Incident #3, June 2013:[62] During a weekend trip, an inebriated Depp had an altercation with a woman whom he thought had made a sexual advance towards Heard, who is bisexual. After this, Depp and Heard returned to their rented trailer, where he threw glass at Heard and ripped her dress, as well as caused extensive damage to the trailer. Heard also made further claims which were heard in closed court due to their nature and have not been publicly disclosed. Incident #4, May 2014:[63] An inebriated Depp verbally insulted, threw objects at and kicked Heard during a private plane flight. Incident #5, August 2014:[64] Depp shoved and hit Heard during his detox from opioids on his private island in the Bahamas. Incident #6, December 2014:[65] NGN claimed Depp had been violent but did not present further details. Incident #7, January 2015:[66] At a hotel in Tokyo, an intoxicated Depp hit Heard, grabbed her by her hair, and shoved her to the floor, not allowing her to get back up. Incident #8, March 2015:[67] Depp caused Heard "injuries including a broken lip, swollen nose, and cuts all over her body", and damaged a rented house they were staying in while he was filming the fifth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean in Australia. The incident took place over three days, during which Depp was high on drugs, and accidentally severed one of his fingers. He then used the stub to write insults about Heard to the house's walls. Heard also stated that he put out a burning cigarette on his own cheek. Heard also made further claims which were heard in closed court due to their nature and have not been publicly disclosed. Incident #9, March 2015:[68] At their Los Angeles home, Depp began to destroy Heard's possessions and hit her. When Heard's sister, Whitney Henriquez, intervened, Depp tried to attack her, which led Heard to hit him. Incident #10, July 2015:[69] Depp hit, pushed and choked Heard during a train trip in south-east Asia. Incident #11, November 2015:[70] Depp, who had been using drugs, pushed Heard and threw items at her. Incident #12, December 2015:[71] Depp assaulted Heard by hitting, shoving, head-butting, dragging her around their apartment by her hair, suffocating her with a pillow, and threatening to kill her. The next day, Heard was to appear in The Late Late Show with James Corden. Incident #13, April 2016:[72] An inebriated Depp threw objects at Heard and pushed her at their LA apartment. Incident #14, May 2016:[73] At their LA apartment, an inebriated Depp hit Heard, threw her phone at her face and dragged her by her hair, as well as broke items. Their neighbours and friends Elizabeth Marz, Raquel Pennington and Joshua Drew were present next door and intervened, with iO Tillett Wright, who had been on the phone with Heard during the incident, calling 911.

Legally certified as well.
And (other than Mo) you are forgetting that the court was *only* presenting Depp’s “evidence”. Now it is the other side’s turn.

^ Exactly. People seem to forget that both sides present their evidence, THEN it goes to the jury. Of course the prosecution is only going to present evidence that is favorable to their client.
I served on a jury once, and after the prosecution rested, I thought damn I think this woman is guilty and I hate the thought that I'll have to vote to send her to prison. By the time the defense rested, I had totally changed my mind and the jury found her not guilty.

Amber Heard admitted the poop in her shared bed with Johnny Depp was 'a horrible practical joke,' a security guard testified
Amber Heard took responsibility for the poop in her shared bed with Johnny Depp the night after an explosive fight, according to one of Depp's security guards, who testified that she called it "a horrible practical joke." Starling Jenkins, a member of Depp's security team, testified about the feces in the trial between Heard and Depp on Thursday. This turd???

One of the many things that gets me about this whole mess is how strong the mob mentality in favor of JD is. If you search for Amber Heard at Twitter, it's just a long line of live tweets of the testimony talking about her fake crying, how she's aging so badly (which I do not understand but OK), people calling her a whore in multiple languages, people accusing her of being a bad actress, people accusing her of being a great actress, people asking why AH is allowed (?) to say so much on the stand when JD could only say one to two words (?), etc. You get the idea.
My point is, you can look under that Justice for JD hashtag and see the same exact tweets. It's frightening that no one is sticking up for her or even showing some compassion. It's so far beyond just some fans trying to support Johnny...it's more like an anti-Amber cult. And these same people think Johnny wasn't popular until the Pirates movies which tells me their age, for what that's worth. I bet they think Donnie Brasco and Blow are his weird, boring movies because he's doing something more than being hammy AF.

^ I've looked at twitter too, and you're spot on. None of them are willing to listen to the testimony, they've all made up their minds. There's a small number of #IStandWithAmberHEard people, and most of them have limited or closed comments so the mob doesn't attack. I hope none of these Depp devotees are on the jury.
This testimony about the Australia incident with his finger, holy crap. All I'm thinking is, he rented that beautiful home and totally trashed it. I bet the owners were PISSED.

Their neighbours and friends Elizabeth Marz, Raquel Pennington and Joshua Drew were present next door and intervened, with iO Tillett Wright, who had been on the phone with Heard during the incident, calling 911. Where is the evidence for any of that? For incident #1, the court found Heard's account of the events to be more likely,[58][93] although noting that "seen in isolation, the evidence that Mr Depp assaulted Ms Heard on this occasion might not be sufficient. However, taken with the evidence as a whole, I find that it did occur."[97] For incident #2, the court also ruled in NGN’s favour, citing contemporaneous communications between Depp, Heard and other parties and Depp's own admissions under cross-examination to substance abuse and jealousy during this time.[98][58] A photograph which Depp's lawyers claimed to prove that Heard had no injuries could not be proven to have been taken on that day.[98] The court also found incident #3 in NGN's favour[58][93] based on a witness statement by Heard's friend Kristina Sexton, who had accompanied the couple on the trip, and on evidence of Depp's behavior related to substance abuse and anger issues in general. The court rejected the further allegations made in closed court.[99] The court ruled in NGN's favour on incident #4,[58][93] stating that contemporaneous messages between Depp, Heard and other parties supported Heard's version of the events.[60] Depp also admitted during cross-examination that he did not remember everything that had taken place, which was contrary to his earlier statements.[100] The court ruled in favor of the account presented by NGN on incidents #5 and #7, but for incident #6, the court did not find that any physical violence had taken place as NGN could not provide more specific information on the incident except a contemporaneous text message from Depp, in which he apologised to Heard for his behaviour.[93][101][58] For incident #8, which took place over three days in Australia, the court found in favour of NGN's account.[58][93][102] Heard's statement of the events—that Depp assaulted her multiple times after relapsing on illegal drugs and alcohol—was found to be supported by photographs and a mobile phone recording made by Depp's staff in the aftermath of the incident, and witness statements and evidence from Whitney Henriquez, Raquel Pennington, Erin Boerum, Ben King, Depp's late bodyguard Jerry Judge, and Heard's therapist, Dr. Connell Cowan.[102] Depp's relapse was proved by an exchange of messages between him and his assistant Nathan Holmes, and the fact that Depp's doctor treating him for his addiction disorder resigned after the incident, citing his patient's unwillingness to commit to sobriety.[102] The court did not accept Depp's claim that Heard had caused the injury to his finger.[58][102][93] The court accepted the further claims Heard made about the incident in closed court.[93] Although in general ruling in her favour and that the incident must have been scary, Heard's description of the events as comparable to a hostage situation was taken to be hyperbolic.[93][102] On incident #9, the court found in favour of NGN's account that Depp had attacked Heard and her sister,[93] and accepted the Heard had acted violently only in defence of her sister.[58][4] The court did not accept Depp's allegation that he had not been violent and that his bodyguard, Travis McGivern, had witnessed Heard throw items at him. The court found McGivern's account to be in contradiction with that given by the only independent witness at the scene, Depp's nurse Debbie Lloyd, who stated that both Depp and Heard were violent during that event, but did not note any items thrown. Furthermore, McGivern could not explain why he had changed his account significantly between his witness statement and his cross-examination in court, which reduced the weight that could be given to his statements.[103] The court ruled in NGN's favour on incident #10, but did not do so for incident #11, because Depp had not been cross-examined on it.[93][58][104] For incident #12, the court found that the evidence was in favour of NGN.[58][105][93] When cross-examined about the incident, Depp admitted that he had headbutted Heard, but claimed it had been an accident, which contradicted an earlier statement he had made on tape in 2016. Other evidence supporting Heard's version of the events were photographs of her injuries taken on the day of the assault, her consultations with three nurses on her injuries, as well as her contemporaneous communications with her publicist, agent and therapist. Statements given by her friends Raquel Pennington and Melanie Inglessis on witnessing her injuries on the day of the assault were also found to be credible. Inglessis was Heard's make-up artist for The Late Late Show, which took place the day after the incident, and testified that she had hidden the injuries to Heard's face with make-up, and that stylist Samantha McMillen did not see Heard before that.[105] The court did not accept Depp's claim that Heard assaulted him and then staged the scene to look like she had been the victim.[93][105] To support his allegations, Depp used a photograph of his face taken by his staff member Sean Bett, but the court did not find it to show the alleged injuries, other than a minor scratch.[105] For incident #13, the court again ruled in favour of NGN's account.[58][106][93] They did not accept Depp's claim that Heard had hit him, as the metadata of the photograph that Sean Bett claimed was taken of the injuries to Depp's face immediately after the incident was found to have been taken in March 2015, during the aftermath of Incident #9 where Heard had admitted to punching him to defend her sister. Bett could not explain this discrepancy, which reduced the weight of his statement.[106] Finally, for incident #14, the court ruled in favour of NGN,[107] citing several credible contemporaneous witness statements and photographs of Heard's injuries.[58][107][93] The statements made by the LAPD officers who attended the scene were not found to be unambiguous. Furthermore, the officers had significantly overestimated the time they spent on the scene, with the timestamps on the building's CCTV system demonstrating that they spent only 15 minutes there, instead of the about 30–60 minutes claimed by Officer Saenz. The court also found that the statements given by Depp's staff were not as credible given their reliance on him for employment, and that it was most likely that the building staff had not seen injuries on Heard as she wore make-up when out in public.[107]

It's so ridiculous people refuse to believe anything bad about a celebrity because they enjoyed a movie in which they starred.

What is the evidence? There isn't always concrete physical evidence, a smoking gun, eyewitness testimony, DNA etc. Sometimes it boils down to circumstantial evidence and/or who is more credible. In the UK case, the court found that Amber's accounts were more credible based on the evidence they had before them.

^^ I'm missing a little attention span due to work, so I come here for the comments. I remember Johnny in the 80's and 90's and how he was engaged every five minutes. This guy wanted to be engaged to be engaged or married. I've told the story on old GR but it's fun to tell...I was a guest backstage at a Marc Jacob's fashion show and got to see the models dressing and eating. Probably 1995/96 There were so many people we just blended into the background. There was a very young Kate Moss smoking and pacing, pacing and smoking while talking (yelling) on the phone. Her hair was done but she wasn't dressed, just jeans and a tee shirt, clip clopping in mules. She has to get in the runway line up. Guess who was late? Mr. Johnny. He walked into the backstage area, kissed her and was led into the audience. He was wearing an enormous black leather hat, like an exaggerated size, probably a black leather jacket and black jeans. Dirty out of bed hair. She must have woke him up and told him to get his ass down there asap. There he was, Johnny Depp. Huge movie star and in the dog house. I love chalet stories! That sounds about right. Kate was eleven years younger than Johnny and was the one who managed to be where she was supposed to be on time. I like to think that he wasn't the narcissistic, addicted abuser back then that he appears to be now, but then there were the hotels he trashed, so it doesn't seem likely at this point. Thank you, I love most of his films. He's a natural and a character actor. I never followed him other than his romances. I don't remember trashing hotel rooms and doing drugs, just the wine. I cannot get over that closet (to say the least).

In the UK case, the court found that Amber's accounts were more credible based on the evidence they had before them. And we'll see how this court rules with all of the evidence before them, some of which was not at the previous trial. Also, I'm going to reiterate that so far AH's claims contradict the evidence that we do have. The kinds of injuries she described can't be covered by makeup, especially since she claimed that she chose roles in which she wore minimal makeup so to not upset JD. We gish galloped a bit upthread, so I'm going to focus on one event that I felt had a lot of info & evidence & that I feel I have a pretty good understanding of: The night that JD's finger was severed & AH claimed he SA'd her with a bottle, she claims that her feet were cut up. The only blood we see in pictures are drops from JD's finger. There are no bloody feet marks at all. She claims he gave her black eyes, broke her nose, pummeled her back, but she took photos of the house instead of her injuries. The few photos she did take of her face barely show any marks, & the kinds of injuries she describes would be obvious & gruesome. There are also no medical records of these injuries. She's an actress; if he broke her nose (multiple times according to her claims) she would need to get it fixed. Have you seen her pretty nose? Have you seen the pics & videos of her uninjured face & feet days after these supposed incidents? Lastly, where's the penis picture? They keep claiming that JD drew a penis on a painting; Ben King says there was no such drawing. We need to get to the bottom of this.

It might seem like a gish gallop, but these were the 14 incidents that the judge cited in the original trial for his ruling.
