"Were a good Christian family" "Those people are just jealous of our family"
Blah blah blah. You can just imagine him saying it.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's where they stick a baby on a blanket and don't let it leave the blanket area. I think they start it pretty young too.

"Train" baby to be obedient by placing on blanket with a couple toys for a set amount of time, when baby tries to move off the blanket you hit them. Similar to abusing a dog for going to the bathroom inside. "Train" to be "obedient". Sick sick sick fuckers. And the book promoting this was published in 1994, so it's recent. It was the creepy pastor molesting the boy on his lap to demonstrate "spanking technique" in the doc I think?

i didn't think they hit the baby but banged stuff (pot, wooden spoon, etc) at the edges of the blanket to discourage the baby from moving off the blanket. still awful.

They totally hit the babies. When I first heard of it years ago they talked about hitting the baby with a wooden spoon or spatula and it's only in more recent times that they talk about startling the baby with a loud noise. So yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised if a lot of them still play whack-a-kid during blanket training.

What I watched showed them say blanket training was put the baby on a blanket, then place their toys and items just out of reach so they can see it. When the baby reaches for it they hit them.
