Reading Victim 2117 by Jussi Adler-Olsen. I'm a big fan of his Department Q series which usually has some dark humor but the last couple have been pretty dire. This one is really hard to chew through and there's nothing remotely amusing going on. The last one was also really dark - if this will be our road I'll call it quits soon.
Also working to finish the Rebus series by Ian Rankin. Love that series so much, which is why I put it down, I hate to end an enjoyable ride. Another series I'm just finishing is Logan McRae by Stuart MacBride. I'm either on 11 of 12 or 12 of 12 and I don't want to say goodbye.
I'm a sentimental old fool.

I'm studying for the LSAT (law school entrance exam) so I unfortunately don't have much time for anything fun right now. I hope to one day be able to enjoy life again but if I actually get into law school, my life will be on hold for 4 years. Do you have a particular school or schools that you would like to attend? Geographical area you'd like? We're rooting for you! I took my LSAT on the 15th of March & should have the results by the 31st. I want to attend a law school with a strong healthcare law program. I'm in far western KY & I know more places I do NOT want to live than places I would find acceptable. Right now, I'm just praying I scored 165 but I'm not holding my breath. I don't think I bombed it but I don't think I hit 165 either.

I cried my eyes out because I studied my ass off & still bombed.

Look forward to cracking open Stephen King’s “Billy Summers.” I'm a huge SK fan, but did not finish Billy Summers. It might be the narrator. His writing seems to have declined in recent years. I started The Outsiders and can't really get into it.

I just finished Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer. Still working on Carl Sagan's Demon-Haunted World and Linus Pauling's How to Live Longer and Feel Better. Better luck next time, Dawn

I’ve just started the NLP Coach. I enjoy the Ben Aaronovitch “Rivers of London” (audio) books & have been saving Amongst our Weapons.

I've just picked up two books to read (50p each - I looove the charity book sales in my local shop!). I've got The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen and Without Consent by Kathryn Fox (both crime/thrillers).
However I'm also trying to decide if I'm going to cough up for The Other Half of the Grave by Jeanine Frost, which is the first novel of the Night Huntress series retold from Bones' perspective. I really want to read it but it's £15 for a paperback on Amazon UK but it's also self-published as JF's decided to take the risk and put it out there after the publishers of all her other books decided not to go with it and I want to support one of my favourite authors.... DECISIONS!!!

i forgot my book last time i traveled so i bought 'where the crawdads sing' by delia owens at the airport because it was the only thing there that i'd heard of and didn't look too terrible and it wasn't a self-help book or a diet book lol i know it got a lot of buzz but i didn't know much about it and i was kind of expecting a lot of cheese but it's actually entertaining story and you can't put it down thought it does get cheesy at the end. but it's one of those books that's a lot of fun to read and it's only after you're done and think back on it that you can kind of see the flaws.
i just started manhattan beach by jennifer egan and so far it's really good.
