I follow that page too! It's hysterically funny yet tragically sad at the same time. . Me as well. I get enraged when it’s baby/child they subject to their woo nonsense and move when they get reported to their local authorities. Don't even get me started... Belgium - a 7 month old baby died after being fed plant based milk instead of breast milk or formula. Australia - parents narrowly avoided prison after trying to raise their 19 month old on a strict vegan diet. The child was found to be malnourished, had rickets, no teeth and had missed multiple developmental milestones. Her condition was discovered after she was admitted to hospital after having a seizure. Florida - a woman was given a life sentence after feeding her 18 month old a raw vegan diet. The child weighed 17lbs at the time of death. Sweden - parents were jailed and ordered to pay damages to their 18 month old daughter who almost died after they fed her a vegan diet. At the time of their arrest the child was the same weight as would be expected for a 6 month old. France - a vegan couple were sent to prison after their 11 month old daughter died of severe vitamin deficiency after they exclusively fed the child breast milk. And that's without even looking at the cases where children have died or being left with chronic health complications because their parents insisted on using homeopathic treatments instead of seeking medical attention.

All those idiots give veganism a bad name. To be clear, I don't know what I'd do with a kid, as I'm vegan and I would be deeply uncomfortable feeding my child with dead animals (but thank god I don't have kids so that's a question for parallel universe me) and I'm no nutritionist or doctor, so I actually don't know if it's possible to have a vegan baby (I guess so, there must have been / be plenty of cultures or times when meat and dairy are / were not options. I guess) but same, if every fucking doctor tells you something and you decide to do your own thing anyways, you're just a moron. A moron with a dead baby who never asked to have morons for parents.
One of my former friends also ended up in a similar "situation" (For lack of a better term) She became a Leche League fanatic, drowned us with posts "proving" that babies don't need anything but breast milk, that "inuits breastfeed children until they're 12-13 !" (yeah, let's ignore the fact that they have a very short life expectancy, tons of health issues, and probably less access to a variety of foods compared to other people) and was still breastfeeding only her 3 year old - SORRY, her 26 months old child before her doctor threatened to report her to social services because apparently her kid had some severe deficiencies (and she was preggo with the 2nd one by then) I wish I had saved her FB post then because that was BONKERS. She was also doctor-hopping because of course, the older her child got, the more difficult it was to find doctors who told her she was doing the right thing

I know two women who treated breast cancer holistically. It came roaring back stage 4 in both cases. One woman has passed and the other is close.

Yea, if I have cancer in my body, I'm not playing around and will do whatever it takes to get it out.

I am (mostly) vegan myself and have seen families try this for their babies. Imho it's a decision I can easily make for myself, but shouldn't make for my offspring. A vegetarian toddler seems possible, but only with the constant support of an experienced nutritionist. You don't want your children to suffer because you make decisions for them.
As for cancer? It is a powerful, deadly and aggressive enemy - so I would use the strongest weapons to fight it. Whatever the doctors recommend, surgery, chemo, radiation. A healthy diet and lifestyle, yes, of course, but that's not the front line.

^^^^ My best friend stopped eating meat as a little kid, is mostly vegetarian except for fish occasionally but never once thought to raise her kids vegetarian and always made them fish and chicken. Red meat she can’t handle so her husband cooks that when they do eat it at home which isn’t often anyway.
