That cunt is gonna holistic the life out of some people with that stupid nonsense If you could cure cancer with thoughts and prayers and brocoli, we’d know it. Funnily enough there's some crazy bitch who blogs about using highly salted and fermented cabbage water to cure everything. And when one of her devotees dies because they followed her instructions? Then obviously they didn't start the "protocol" soon enough/didn't stick to it/must have used conventional medical science and that's what killed them. And then there's the loonies who apply black salve to cure everything from skin cancer to breast cancer and end up burning holes in themselves before dying anyway. Do not look up images of what people have done to themselves with this stuff unless you have a strong stomach because they are horrific.

(Yes, I clicked the link because of course I did.) The other thing I sat here thinking about was the that if at any point her “utter wellness” went off the rails she always maintained the luxury to switch over to one of those 32 doctors she originally ignored. Rhino killing, smug, and out of touch moron…

It's full of fun things like people claiming that fasting with coconut water and sea salt will stop you needing to wear glasses and wondering why putting a raw onion in your sock isn't curing whatever you have wrong with you. Oh and the "blast it with piss!" crowd who think that aged urine is the greatest thing ever. We're talking enemas, putting it in your eyes, rubbing it on your face, washing your hair with it, the works.

I had breast cancer 10 years ago. (It always seems like it was longer ago.) I had one breast removed, and wanted to have the other one done as well, as preventative, but I developed an issue with my heart/blood pressure that made my surgeon step back from it. I never had chemo, and indeed she did not advise it, though we were open to it until she removed the first breast and felt confident about the margins, etc. She's one of the best, so I felt comfortable with the decision, and so far so good.
That said, if she had advised chemo/radiation I would have gotten it, so I don't think my situation is the same. I don't usually mention it because I do worry about how others would interpret my decision - which was made carefully, and in accordance with my surgeon's best input. What Elle is doing has the potential for such destruction - just like the stupid anti-vax nonsense.

You did absolutely the right thing for you, along with your surgeon. You are also being monitored, which is exactly the right course of action for you. I wish you excellent health and send you a massive virtual hug. xx

Linds - if 32 doctors (if you could even get 2nd opinions for that many doctors) advised you to take a course of action & you took it - that is how it should be (imho).
If you go against what 32 doctors advise you and then influence thousands of other to do the same thing. mmmmm no comment.

I agree, Lindsay, your situation is different. You did what was right for you.
I think everyone has a right to refuse treatment/tests for anything though. People have different reasons. The problem is when they try and influence others, like Elle is doing.

My mom was just diagnosed with HERS breast cancer. One of the things they use to treat it is a hormone therapy. I wonder if Elle is leaving out that part i.e. she refused chemo but took the hormone therapy. Per my mom's doc, prior to the hormone therapy, HERS was one of the toughest forms of breast cancer to beat. Now, it considered one of the easiest. The hormone therapy is powerful.
My point being if they caught it early and she took the hormone therapy, that might have been enough. But if that's true, her claiming she didn't receive treatment is false.

If you get 2 or 3 doctors to give you their professional opinion, that's one thing, I think it's always good to get a second opinion just to be sure, especially when it comes to massive surgeries, or chemo, or anything that "big"
Seeing 32 doctors, who apparently ALL said the same thing, and then go with your own thing anyways, makes you a dumb bitch.
Thanks Linds for sharing your experience with us, it is also good to remember that you don't necessarily need chemo when you have cancer, and the important thing is to trust the professional medical opinion that is given to you <3

Wasn't it Steve McQueen that did that kind of stuff for his cancer? "Ooooh, lemme try this/that/the other thing, oops, didn't cure it. Bye."

I just looked it up and it appears he tried unconventional treatment after being told by doctors they couldn't do anything to prolong his life. He died of a heart attack after surgery to remove tumours.

Me as well. I get enraged when it’s baby/child they subject to their woo nonsense and move when they get reported to their local authorities.
