the pictures have an old Hollywood feel to them. Very Cary Grant/Gary Cooper vibes. I enjoy the humour in the pictures too. Love it all.

Andrew Sullivan, who is kind of a contrarian political writer/editor (for example, he is gay and a practicing Catholic) one time posted a pretty amazing clip from an old 1920's or 1930's movie. In the clip, there are two aviators who had just been in some kind of battle and one of them is lying on a table dying. The other soldier is incredibly distraught and is crying and pouring his heart out at the loss. The emotion and dialog implies a level of friendship that two straight guys would typically not express in public. Andrew Sullivan described this as "homosocial". The typical definition is a relationship between two people of the same sex that is not romantic or sexual. But I think Sullivan was describing it as a very intense relationship that really goes up to the edge. I really wish I could find that clip - it was really pretty impactful to see along with Sullivan's description. When I saw Clooney/Pitt pictorial, it immediately came to mind. |

Love all of them, I love that they're wearing colours, Brad's purple/pinkish outfits are stunning
It's a very cool photoshoot, that looks effortlessly chic imo (which is hard to pull with Brad being a massive try-hard lol)

I don't really have much of an opinion on these photos but I just wanted to say that the idea of standing in a pool in full clothing makes my skin crawl. It's like wearing jeans and sneakers on the beach. *shudder*
