The arresting officer in Justin Timberlake's drunken driving arrest had no idea who the A-lister was at the time he took him into custody in Sag Harbor, New York early Tuesday.
The police officer 'was so young that he didn't even know' who Timberlake was' and 'didn't recognize him or his name,' a source told Page Six on Tuesday.
The Grammy-winning artist, 43, referenced his ongoing The Forget Tomorrow World Tour during the arrest, a separate source told the outlet.
Justin said under his breath, "This is going to ruin the tour,"' the source said. 'The cop replied, "What tour?" Justin said, "The world tour."' Timberlake was charged early Tuesday with drunken driving in a village in New York's Hamptons, after police said he ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane in the posh seaside summer retreat.
The boy band singer-turned-solo star and actor was driving a 2025 BMW in Sag Harbor around 12:30 a.m. when an officer stopped him and determined he was intoxicated, according to a court document reviewed by the AP.
'His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,' the court papers said.
Timberlake told the officer he had one martini and was following some friends home, according to the documents

The cop not knowing who he is... priceless. I laugh every time I think what the cop must haven't been thinking when some random drunk guy is muttering about his "world tour". I never found this guy attractive, but at least at one point he had youth on his side, but now that's gone he's just fugly. I have such a hate on for this dude that this whole thing makes me unreasonably happy. Can't wait for the memes. Justin's one martini:  |

When was the last time Britney looked this good? Decades? Nowadays, she barely looks like she's bathed. I know that mental illness & severe depression can make it hard to just get out of bed, & taking a shower can feel like monumental task. It's just sad to see just how far she's slid down. I wish she would seek help.  |

Meh, not much to tell besides the fact that he's a shitty or non-existent tipper who runs staff ragged and acts like an entitled prick. He comes home to Memphis less now than he used to but I don't see him having changed much, if anything probably more of an entitled prick

I have no time for anyone who is shitty to service staff. So what happens if you refuse the breathalyzer? Do you automatically get the stiffer penalty? I don't know about New York but in the UK it's instant arrest on the offence of Failure to Provide a Specimen unless you have a VERY good excuse, followed by a driving ban, unlimited fine and potential prison time. |
