I'm gobsmacked! I saw him play several times against England and he was really lovely with young fans. He even signed my cricket ball and let me take a pic of him!

Was he the guy that some British tabloid referred to as a "captured man" or something? Because his famous gf at the time had supposedly made him over in some kind of less than manly way.

Wow, was not expecting this. But yeah I think heart attacks are particularly fatal between the ages of 48-52. My dad died at 51 from a massive coronary, never had one before and was pretty healthy. Life’s a bitch sometimes

I heard my name...
The whole country is in shock about this, has been for over a week. The consensus is pretty much Warney was a bit of a tool, but he was genuinely great with his fans and with kids, and the game will never be the same without him.
There was 24 hour news coverage when it first happened, and every day the top 5 stories have been Warne related. I can't believe I cried over Shane fucking Warne, but this is a massive loss for cricket and for Australia.

Life’s a bitch sometimes This reminds me, Mrs Mo has a childhood friend, living in Tiger Woods' old neighborhood, and married to a pediatric neurosurgeon. He's got to be about mid-50's, has a great family situation, is very zen, and looks amazing - very fit, thick head of hair that makes him look much younger. But some time last week, at home, his heart started racing uncontrollably. They raced him over to the hospital and by the time they got there had to shock him twice to revive him. We still don't know exactly what is going on - and are not going to press because she is probably inundated answering questions for other people. But she had been posting stuff on Facebook in the last couple of days, saying "health is the only thing that matters", etc. But wow, if a pediatric neurosurgeon doesn't realize he has a heart condition, what hope do the rest of us have to detect something?

Life’s a bitch sometimes I am so sorry. My dad had his first heart attack at 51, but survived. He had another at 55, and a third which killed him at 58. 50’s seem to be common for this issue.
