She looks fantastic. At the beginning of her career, she kind of seemed like pretty window dressing, but she is actually a really good, seasoned actor - "Clouds of Sils Maria", "Paradise Highway", "The 33".

This is really great for her. I don't understand how you keep your pants dry or clean in winter when they're that long, but it is what it is I guess.

She’s amazing in The English Patient. That's a fun movie to watch over and over. I love how she fell for Naveen Andrews, whose character seems like such a sincere, principled person. I love how the movie treats the main women characters in general, though. Katherine Clifton (Kristin Scott Thomas) is smart, beautiful, and assertive. It was pretty wild watching Ralph Fiennes' character fall for her - almost acting like it was a drag to have her around, and then just totally obsessed with her. |
