I know his wife will now demand that he smiles at her for the cameras. He looks so miserable when they are out together.
I'm sure Ex-Jen is happy to be rid of having to watch over him.
How long do you think it will take for Current Jen to have paps taking pictures of them holding hands and laughing?

Which is kind of interesting, because as an actor, you'd think he would be able to do a better job of looking sincerely happy with JLo.

Or he’s trying too hard to put on a good face when hanging out with his ex and their kids to make up for the awkwardness?
Or maybe he looked like a glum cunt I’m every other two hito but these are were the ones chosen for publication to push clicks and a certain narrative?

I don't know..... I didn't even recognize him when he was laughing, so I guess I haven't seen that facial expression from him in a long time. To me, it seems like he is a glum, haunted guy, no matter who he is with.

I agree with all that, but unfortunately for Ben and/or JLo, these pics do push that narrative very effectively (whether it's true, false, or in between).

He looks like a completely different person in those first pics! Approachable, engaged and in a good mood. Maybe JLo wants him to look glum to keep the attention on them-it would be boring if they simply lived happily ever after.

Rather than the very staged "turn to each other, gaze adoringly, wait for the flashes, resume" pose that they do at every red carpet. They do it so much and so mechanically that the pictures are all starting to blur together and it doesn't help that Ben looks bored shitless in the other more candid shots.

It's quite the situational study in pictures: He looks miserable in the photos with J.Lo because he hates the pap attention and intrusion that she LOVES and orchestrates. Garner doesn't, or at least makes sure Ben doesn't see the paps and so he seems happy and engaged in photos with her. I'm no fan of hers, but at least she's more subtle than J.Lo. Admittedly not a high bar, but still.
