Michelle Yeoh marries longtime partner Jean Todt after 19-year engagement
The Oscar-winning actor, 60, and the ex-Ferrari CEO, 77, began dating in June 2004 before getting engaged just a month later.
Now, after 19 years, the two have married as revealed by former Scuderia Ferrari driver Felipe Massa.
Posting a series of pictures of the pair to his Instagram page, including an order of service from the event, the couple tied the knot on July 27 in Geneva, where they reside.
‘We met in Shanghai on 4th June 2004. On 26th July 2004, J.T proposed to marry M.Y and she said YES!’ it said.
‘Today after 6992 days on 27th July 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, We are so happy to celebrate this special moment together.’
The pictures show the couple beaming for the camera alongside Massa, with Yeoh’s Oscar making a special appearance during the nuptials.
The Everything Everywhere All At Once actor can be seen embracing her husband while the award is on the table in front of them, and it also takes centre stage in a selfie between the trio.
She also wore an elegant beige gown with gold embellishments, while her husband looked dapper in a dark blue suit.
Another picture shared by the Brazillian driver showed the two signing their wedding certificate in an ornate room with their loved ones.
The couple has not yet publicly shared any information on their wedding.
Yeoh was previously married to businessman Dickson Poon between 1988 and 1991 and engaged to cardiologist Alan Heldman in 1998.
Todt also has a son from a previous marriage, Nicolas Todt, who is a driver manager and former co-owner of ART Grand Prix.
Yeoh previously spoke about how the pair first met and the impression he left on her.
‘A guy was being rude while trying to clear the stage. So, Jean approached him and talked him down,’ she told The Daily Mail.
‘He’s about my height, and the fact that he could talk down someone bigger than him was my first impression of him — and a good one.’
