It really isn't, unless she means portobello. 
I use the more umami type mushrooms when they are in stock, they are a bit more pricey but really make a big difference in taste. |

i agree. i also like to mix several types. when i read your comment i had pictured a sort of mushroom bolognese type thing, but the recipe sounds like it would be saucier and heavier on the tomato but adding way more mushrooms would make it into more of a vegan bolo

I am thinking about adding spinach and maybe minced carrots next time. I do love mushroom bolognese, but it's impossible to get fresh porcini or chanterelles in our area and it just doesn't taste the same with other species. |

a very late breakfast or early lunch - tea with oatmilk and a toasted gf english muffin with a bit of leftover tuna salad and some leftover cream cheese with chives.

I finally got around to making some Finnish cardamom rolls (Korvapuusti), so I am eating one of those. Very tasty, but they look like crap cause I crowded them too much while baking and they are lacking the distinctive shape.  |
