Very Barbie of course, but I kinda wish they would have dressed her in some of original Barbie fashions. She had some very cool 60s outfits.

Their arms and legs didn't bend, so if you put them in a chair, their legs stuck straight out. So perhaps Margot Robbie is supposed to be a bit stiff to imitate those early Barbies. |

maybe it's because it's what i grew up with but for me the epitome of barbie isn't the weird pinched barbie of the 60s but the tacky hot pink spandex barbie of the 80s. that's what really encapsulates the barbie aesthetic for me and this new movie looks like a slightly more tasteful version of that and i like it.

This Vogue cover just doesn't look right to me. We've all seen a LOT of pictures of Margot Robbie as Barbie or dressed like Barbie this summer, but this picture doesn't quite look like her. It looks like Vogue did some photoshopping on her face and thinned it in the cheeks. It has the effect of aging her when she doesn't seem to be aging much in real life.

The Barbie movie has now made $1.3 Billon (with a B), which should do wonders for Margot Robbie's career.

Hollywood always needs an everything girl/woman. She's obviously well loved by her directors and co-stars. An actress that will take chances and do many kinds of roles (like Charlize Theron)? I'm not putting her down at all but she leaves me cold. Not like she's shallow but I don't feel any depth or anything interesting about her.
